Algae for oil - proven, just need to be scaled up.
Industrial hemp - proven, just needs to be scaled up.
If peak oil means water doesnt come through the tap, get some copper and use it to disinfect water.
If peak oil means the food in the shops is too expensive/not there, then make sure you have some hemp seed in your emergency kit. You cant go wrong with hemp.
