  • Ma' uhamba?

  • muito legal

  • This is a most wonderful song! I know that America is dealing with obesity and that has been the focus of the American version for the last year...but I really really wish they'd bring this environmental song or its equivalent to the American version--because if the adults don't get it about this planet and how to clean it up, the kids WILL get it...since the adults are plopping their kids in front of the TV, let's teach 'em how to save their own home planet!

  • Wens daar was 'n deel in Afrikaans!

  • elmo in the world

  • Giant green mongoose!

  • This song reminds me of thath'sgubhu

  • @tinatendi Hehehehe me too hey...Thath'sgubhu us'fake ezozoweni ufake ama speks uzobuzwa ubumnandi obulapho. tl tl tl

  • Hahahaha,,,This is a classic. Our kids can learn constructive things.

No more barbie for our children...Yaaaaaaay!!!!

  • @Noxy188 Barbie was an Astronaut in Space before women in space were unheard of.

  • thts class lol

  • That's the biggest meerkat I've ever seen.

  • @goNYgiants227 No, he's only in the newer shows. Because he's not in the Canadian one or the one in Turkey or the one in Spain, and the list goes on and on.

  • wtf? i dont hear any afrikaans in this? they claim they use all the 11 official languages.. really?

  • it really great that it world wide but you know the yellow cute puppet i and hiv + here the link if you want to know more about

  • I don't have a recycling or dust bin!

  • what's the other language they're singing in?

  • @usagal97 zulu

  • why is elmo there

  • @TheSesamestreetlive his name is Neno. He's the South African version of Elmo

  • What a great video. Anyone know the language spoken at the beginning of the song?

  • Probably afrikaans

  • I love this clip!

  • This IS Sesame Street, just made to fit another country's (Africa) culture.

  • @paklack Africa isn't a country it's a Continent. South Africa on the other hand is a country, i.e. the one where this originated.

  • Politics and all comments of magnitude aside, I love this song and its message. My 7 month old loves it too :)

  • this song is so cute!! takalani sesame or sesame street is the best show for kids ever... and kami is great... these problems (global warming, AIDS or pollution) are EVERYBODY's problem not just some people... we should worry about this instead of things as differences between races or ways of thinking, we all are you are human beings and the physicist doesn't matter, we all could change the world if we really want it

  • just forget racism for a minute people please... this vid really takes me back. just a few years ago i loved singign along to these songs. and they dont only teach you about aids its about all sorts of things that children learn all over the world ...

  • white people is so retard plus

Takalani Sesame is for learn about aids

bet little white girl mary sue say mom turn tv off mary sue parent go to sue pbs for Takalani Sesame on america air wave

  • There are so many things wrong with that. For a start, you're way more racist for saying that than most white people (me included). secondly, Takalani Sesame isn't 'for learn about AIDS'. It's Sesame Street in South Africa. It's for learning about anything. Fruit, vegetables, shapes, exercise, anything. It's a kids' programme. the fact that the PC Police decided that the AIDS population is stupid. Teach kids about AIDS in school at a later age. Not when they're 4 or 5 on Sesame Street. Retard.

  • *Decided that the AIDS population isn't represented...

  • @AngusBonnett94 I think they're trying to address pediatric aids. It might be nice for small children who happen to be orphaned or HIV positive to see a character on tv like themselves without the negative connotation. :) just my humble opinion but I agree with everything else you said :)

  • But AIDS is a problem that small children in South Africa will have to deal with. Do you have any concept of HIV statistics in Africa?

  • Sesame Street is one big street, it must go through the whole world xD

  • the are speaking Afrikaan

  • Comment removed

  • No, they're not.

  • It's interesting how in the song, in Zulu, you can hear them say "paper" and "dustbin"

  • Kami is HIV positive.

  • is the yellow thing moshe? what species is he?i think he might b jewish

  • How sweet!

  • how is every diffrent diffrent exept elmo!!

  • It's amazing what Sesam street is doing across the world :)

  • Obvious puppeteer alert @ 0:37.

  • so i heard english and what other language(s)? can anyone share the full lyrics in those other lingos?

  • not bad for south africa: sesame street why i cant understand they are saying

  • What languages do they speak in South Africa? I know English and Afrikaans but I hear others

  • Don't they also speak Dutch?

  • Afrikaans is 17th Century dutch it doesnt sound like the Modern Dutch.

  • They are singing in Zulu. Which does not sound anything like Dutch. Afrikaans however, does. Dutch/Afrikaaners = clean, which is why the song is not really directed at them.

  • Good to know that Sesame street crosses the entire world ^_^.

  • looks like elmo is the same no matter where you go....

  • SA baby!!!!!!

  • that's what i've heard too. im black

  • I guess big bird was too frightening so they replaced it with a giant sloth

  • Yeah, i'm not going to get into a pointless comment arrgument .I'm not THAt kind of Youtuber.

  • theres a lot of birds in africa, js.

  • hahahahahaha i was just playing.. ppl need to lighten up.. do u really believe that ther's no birds on one of if not the biggest conitnent ever??

  • ok im sorry, its just that there are a lot of stupid people in the world.

  • You're the idiot if you don' t think there are birds in Africa.

  • He's a meerkat

  • oh, thats wat he is

  • Kami has HIV. She's the yellow one at 0:44

  • thanks

  • damn she's hot too

  • No, she does not. There was a rumor around the time that Kami debuted in South Africa that there would be an HIV-positive Muppet on American Sesame Street. Abby Cadabby came out around the same time, so I think people conflated the two. There was also a rumor back in the 90s that Ernie would be killed off in the name of AIDS awareness... whole lotta hysteria over nothing.

  • Hmm and all while i watched Sesame Street with my niece i was thinkin 2 myself 'damn that lil muppet got AIDS' and she doesn't. Well i feel like a jackass now. Hee-Haw.

  • @SweetBrwnSuga Kami? Is that the one you're thinking about? According to wiki, she's HIV positive as the result of a blood transfusion
