but I take it that the Wired Radio wasn't yet created when this video was,
since as far as I can see, the Radio does the same job, but in a more practical way

i think of it like a table with cards on it
merger makes them into a deck
splitter deals the cards in the deck
value retriever looks through the deck for a card
you cant deal the whole deck at once, so you need to split it

you could also just use a increment chip from (i think add) and wire buttons to increase, decrease..
