@BobTheBoobieMan they come to australia they obey our laws, dont advertise your religion, you can wear it in private or at home, i dont care, but in public they should not wear it
@john5838 if by retard on the chopping block you are referring to this moron grilling me, then bring it on. it's the most pathetic attempt at humor and belittles a debate which genuinely needs to be had on this issue.
@john5838 i am completely anti-religion, add to the fact that someone is using a unprovable, illogical religious belief to side-step the law... of course they should remove their burqa
@GrunterStool Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children. (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT)
@heath2357 You actually did prove a few things. For one, you are ignorant of why people fly from their home countries to destinations where they can pay people smugglers. If they were genuine refugees, they wouldn't need to throw away their documents. They seek out countries specifically to become welfare parasites. You also proved you are white trash with no values and no racial pride. Note; a mongrelised nation as Australia is becoming is not worth fighting for, certainly not worth dying for.
@GrunterStool Well put argument. Islamic people are notorious for producing larger families than non Islamic people. Even with their current (for now) low level of representation, the push is on to for separate laws and amenities.
ohhh, Barrreee! I am going to be doing my filming soon and I hope you shall subscription to my channel. I am to be wearing my full coverings. I will be to see you soon!
if an Australian female went to their country and was told or forced to wear a burqa, or discovered that it was a CRIME to wear short shorts and singlets, I highly doubt that she would feel positive about that. There are security reasons as people argue, then maybe the legislation shouldn't directly address burqas, but the clothing items that cover up faces like hoodies and masks, as what a lot of people here are saying :)
heres the thing, burqa is more of a cultural thing (call it male masochism) than a religious one. I am a muslim, and I know that when we make holy pilgrimages, women are supposed to wear head scarves, which clearly show their faces, and not their heads instead of a burqa, through which u can practically c nothing. So if thats what u wear when u make a holy pilgrimage, then that is what is prescribed to b worn on regular days. coverin up faces gives space for bad things to happen in a society.
Is the burqa harming you in anyway? I don't think so -- so why don't you leave them alone? No one says anything to emos and goths, so why are you so hell-bent on banning the burqa?
@cssftw100 lol it is actually...any one can walk into a bank disguised under a burqa...would you feel comfortable with me walking into a bank with a balaclava on?
Again, you can argue your case here but the fact of the matter is you haven't got one. There is a reason as to why theres a new law allowing police to make women take off their burqa to identify them, because they were previously not allowed to do so! Any fool can understand that. Please, look up the Law Enforcement Act of NSW and see for yourself. Stop arguing against common sense.
@cyprokka Nope still can't find any law stating that Muslims don't have to prove their identity. I'm starting to think that you can't point me to the specific legislation because you have wrongly presumed it exists. Ooops! A bit embarrassing... lol...
@Yakovich You can look as much as you want, you wont find anywhere written in our law that muslims dont have to prove their identity. But you will find freedom of religion and by examining islamism you will find that it is an offence for women wearing a burqa to take it off in public for any reason, thus making a woman do this would go against freedom of religion. This is backed by the fact that this new law requires anyone to remove their face covering for police, including burqas, etc.
@cyprokka Don't we have freedom of religion, but not freedom of religious expression here in Australia(unlike the US or UK?)? Or something along those lines?
@Yakovich Also backing this is the fact that a woman was acquitted in trial recently because her identity could not be verified as she was wearing a burqa. Tell me, if muslim women DO have to prove their identity, why didn't she have to? And if police are already allowed to make women in burqas show their face for id, then what was the point of bringing in this new law?
@Yakovich The main argument as to why australia doesnt need a bill of rights is because the rights of the people are already protected in our law. This is why many find it unnecessary to introduce it. Don't you think that if police were already allowed to make women take off their burqa to id them, then this new law to give police this right would be simply pointless and thus wouldn't be implemented? I know you have mind blowing answers for all these questions and I cant wait for your response.
@Yakovich I'm afraid you have not answered anything and the reason is because the only logical answer you could possibly give me is the same one I gave you. Of course its time to move on, you don't want to actually admit that you're wrong and humiliate yourself now do you? You're right about one thing, this has become boring, anyone with a brain here knows you dont have one. Andrew Bolt would be so proud of your linear thinking.
@Yakovich If you are smarter than you seem, then prove me wrong and answer my questions. If you cant do it then stop wasting your time feeding lies to people. You simply have'nt proven me wrong in any way and you know it. Seeing as you're going to be thinking in such a plain uneducated manner, I admit, there is no law in australia that states muslim women dont have to prove their id, now you show me the law that states specifically muslim women must prove their id in effect prior to 2011.
@cyprokka LAW ENFORCEMENT (POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES) ACT 2002 - SECT 11
11 Identity may be required to be disclosed
(cf Crimes Act 1900 , s 563)
A police officer may request a person whose identity is unknown to the officer to disclose his or her identity if the officer suspects on reasonable grounds that the person may be able to assist in the investigation of an alleged indictable offence because the person was at or near the place where the alleged indictable offence occurred...
@Yakovich Nope still can't see any law stating that Muslims have to prove their identity. I'm starting to think that you can't point me to the specific legislation because you have wrongly presumed it exists. Ooops! A bit embarrassing... lol...;)
@Yakovich And now lets look at the Identification Legislation Amendment Act 2011 and see what the parliament of NSW has to say about it: "The objects of this bill are to amend the Law Enforcement (Powers and Responsibilities) Act 2002" (the one you previously quoted), "to allow a police officer to require, in certain circumstances, a person to remove a face covering so as to enable the officer or another police officer to see the person’s face for identification purposes..."
@Yakovich Look up the Identification Legislation Act 2011 and read the overview of it. Do you suppose the reason as to why they amended the act of 2002 might be because they previously were not clearly legally allowed to make people remove face coverings for identification purposes? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what the overview of this amendment states?...Satisfied yet?
@ValiantVendetta I'm fairly certain that if you were a transsexual muslim you would have probably been a victim of an honour killing way before you reached the airport lol...
@ValiantVendetta depends whose on the job. I know people who do airport security and if theres a female on the job then usually the muslim woman will allow her to see her face for id, at times wen there isnt a female working, the woman wearing the burqa is either not allowed to go on board, or they simply let her through, I know of occasions when both results have occurred.
@cyprokka So they simply allow someone through airport security without first confirming that the person is who they say they are simply because they are dressed up in some medieval costume? Hm, sounds like a brilliant idea to me.
@ValiantVendetta Lol you're onfusing me. Are you for or against the idea of banning the burqa? You're comments are indicating to me that you are for the idea of banning the burqa, in which case you are arguing with the wrong person, I want the ban too..
@cyprokka I want it either banned or similar protections extended to secular and non-secular clothing alike. Wanna run around the city anonymously? Sure. Wanna walk into a bank wearing a V for Vendetta mask? Sure. Wanna wear a Burqa through an airport? Sure.
@cyprokka No one gets to conceal their identity or if that isn't possible, everyone gets to. There has been plenty of times a mask would've been useful for me, old friends you never really liked being the people I'd have loved to have slipped by unnoticed.
@ValiantVendetta and I I have read and seen many cases in european news reports that people who wear the burqa or niqab simply go through security at the airport with their identity unchecked. Several newsreporters wore a burqa to test the security and they were allowed through unchecked. It could be literally anyone wearing it. Don't get all puffed up thinking that you know everything. If you think this is bullshit then you dont know the half of it, believe me.
In reality this debate goes much further than just dress code. In this country we defend the human rights of all people. If you tolerate the intolerance that exists towards women in some islamic communities you are actually creating a sub group of unequal individuals. Would we accept the rights of an abusive husband to beat his wife if he was of anglo-saxon origin. Then why do the same when it occurs within another culture, just because it is their custom. Political correctness gone mad I say.
@falcon1702 That's a valid point but you have to consider the consequences. The fact is that most religion is divisive and discriminatory but in spite of this our society has made great strides in overcoming these biases. But if women are being forced to wear burqas then banning burqas from public places won't solve the problem but will force it underground further isolating them from the rest of the community creating no opportunity to experience then become members of the greater society.
its not a matter of time until they ease up and dress like australian women, its a matter of time until they outnumber us and australian women dress in burqas
@Yakovich haha yeah at the rate of immigration. you also have to take into account religious conversions, the low white birth rate, the high muslim birth rate, and asylum seekers being allowed to invite their whole families into australia
@Yakovich and you've studied this so intensely you can pin it down to 1000 years? good on you. you arent even denying it is inevitable. cant wait for our grandchildren to be living under shariah law
FUCK muslim, THEY WANT TO STOP CHRISTMAS SONGS IN SCHOOL, AND MIGHT I ADD THE NATIONAL ANTHEM.......WTF MY FAMILY DIED FOR THIS SHIT GOVERNED COUNTRY AND THERE NOT ALOWED TO RAISE THE FLAG FUCK YOU ASS HOLES FUCK YOU.... OH AND BARRY ITS SIMPLE DUMB FUCKS LIKE YOU THAT LET US DOWN FUCK OFF....!
@DeanVincentBarmby Well I could also say that you sound like a redneck and uneducated bigot, but where would that take us or this fascinating conversation about who can wear what in this "free" society? So, why can't a woman choose to wear the burqa as either a sign of protest or for her own religious believes? Explain, if you can, why that is somehow your business.
@DeanVincentBarmby Why is a Burqa an affront to an all right minded Australian? I don't get it why it is your or anyone else's business what someone wants to wear. And don't tell me it is about disguises. Because if you do, then what should I do about nuns? Or about people wearing hats, hoodies and sunglasses? What should I do if someone has a beard and then shaves it off? That's changing his appearance! Or women changing appearance with make up. Isn't that an affront too? No?
Brilliant! It's a shame those in the UK(where Islam is more of a problem) and the US(where general religious stupidity flourishes) won't 'get it' as much due to the bogan-Aussie references. You worked hard to take the piss out of Aussie bogans(not particularly hard to do actually) yet quietly let Islam do its own talking. Well, I guess this was your aim?
There are many examples where religious intolerance is a necessity but some need to be a little more clever in how they deliver it. Well done!
I didn't know what to expect, coming into this, but I think you did well covering the topic. Burqas aren't terrific by any means, and they cause hassles for police and security camera people, but they're certainly not the evil things people seem to be making them out to be. Good job, man. :D
@MrFictive I think we have bigger problems but the relative amount of views on this video does demonstrate an unproportionate interest in the subject.
it's fuking small minded ignorant bogans like u that make me sick. u keep goin on about "the australian way of life" let me tell u something drinking vb's, driving commadores, watching footy and being a tradie isn't the australian way of life, its just the life of a fuking redneck, how can u live in such a great and diverse country like australia but act like a fuking animal and make the rest of us look bad, grow up already act ur age cause im sick of the world thinking were all the same
I believe is that i respect your religion beliefs but if i ask you to remove the burqa in my store i expect you to respect that for security reason and you have every right to leave if you feel uncomfortable. It's that simple, if you start a fuss and get upset i'll get the security to escort you out of my store. (if i own a store of course but that what i would do)
@TheTramsen Oh yeh man I'm crying hahahahah You win big guy, fark never messing with you again bro sorry about that ahahahahhah This convo has been mad bro buh I'm not replying to you after this comment because you just keep proving your a sadcunt time and time again in every comment ahaha.
guys im muslim, i go to a aussie school. @iparkcore, you must be a un educated kid that has nothing else to do other than putting shrimp an the barby and drinking beer. SO FUCKING GET A LIFE YOU DUMB CUNT AUSSIE FUCK. YOU MUST BE FROM A CONVICT HERITAGE YOU FUCKING DOG ASS PROSTITUTE. AND THIS ISNT YOUR FUCKING COUNTRY. DICK HEAD. FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT WHITE INSECURE FUCK.
I don't think the burqa thing is specifically a redneck issue. I am certainly not a redneck or racist, and do have a few muslim friends even. But all of my muslim friends let their wives go around with normal hair, without even a headscarf, just like western women.
I think the burqa is a security risk, as well as an insult to our civilisation, and a symbol of sick female inequality.
If you want to, wear a headscarf, but the burqa can go suck my dick.
an Englishman once asked me: " what do you call a sophisticated Australian?" so i didn't think there were any, and then he says: "a New Zealander mete!
i am Kiwi, you Bastards sons of Convicts & Hookers...
what this guy doesnt seem to understand is that literally ANYONE could be hiding under one of these things. we cant identify them. What if a fuckn al-quaeda leader is walking around wearing one of these and blows up bazza? then what are we gonna do? if they are so desperate to hide themselves, they can wear a hijab. that way they can cover themselves and we can know who they are. everybody wins :D
haha hilarious.

@ValiantVendetta depends whose on the job. I know people who do airport security and if theres a female on the job then usually the muslim woman will allow her to see her face for id, at times wen there isnt a female working, the woman wearing the burqa is either not allowed to go on board, or they simply let her through, I know of occasions when both results have occurred.
cyprokka 5 months ago
@cyprokka So they simply allow someone through airport security without first confirming that the person is who they say they are simply because they are dressed up in some medieval costume? Hm, sounds like a brilliant idea to me.
ValiantVendetta 5 months ago
@ValiantVendetta Lol you're onfusing me. Are you for or against the idea of banning the burqa? You're comments are indicating to me that you are for the idea of banning the burqa, in which case you are arguing with the wrong person, I want the ban too..
cyprokka 5 months ago
@cyprokka I want it either banned or similar protections extended to secular and non-secular clothing alike. Wanna run around the city anonymously? Sure. Wanna walk into a bank wearing a V for Vendetta mask? Sure. Wanna wear a Burqa through an airport? Sure.
ValiantVendetta 5 months ago
@ValiantVendetta I see...okay well which would you prefer? which do you think would benefit the state in general?
cyprokka 5 months ago
@cyprokka No one gets to conceal their identity or if that isn't possible, everyone gets to. There has been plenty of times a mask would've been useful for me, old friends you never really liked being the people I'd have loved to have slipped by unnoticed.
ValiantVendetta 5 months ago
@ValiantVendetta I absolutely agree :)
cyprokka 5 months ago
@ValiantVendetta and I I have read and seen many cases in european news reports that people who wear the burqa or niqab simply go through security at the airport with their identity unchecked. Several newsreporters wore a burqa to test the security and they were allowed through unchecked. It could be literally anyone wearing it. Don't get all puffed up thinking that you know everything. If you think this is bullshit then you dont know the half of it, believe me.
cyprokka 5 months ago
@cyprokka
Except for that one article in our constitution that states that government can make up any law based on race, etc;
gm3dgames 5 months ago
In reality this debate goes much further than just dress code. In this country we defend the human rights of all people. If you tolerate the intolerance that exists towards women in some islamic communities you are actually creating a sub group of unequal individuals. Would we accept the rights of an abusive husband to beat his wife if he was of anglo-saxon origin. Then why do the same when it occurs within another culture, just because it is their custom. Political correctness gone mad I say.
falcon1702 5 months ago
@falcon1702 That's a valid point but you have to consider the consequences. The fact is that most religion is divisive and discriminatory but in spite of this our society has made great strides in overcoming these biases. But if women are being forced to wear burqas then banning burqas from public places won't solve the problem but will force it underground further isolating them from the rest of the community creating no opportunity to experience then become members of the greater society.

@Yakovich haha yeah at the rate of immigration. you also have to take into account religious conversions, the low white birth rate, the high muslim birth rate, and asylum seekers being allowed to invite their whole families into australia

WarrenEdwardBuffet 5 months ago
@DeanVincentBarmby Making a few unfounded assertions there aren’t you mate?
1. Why must Australia fall inline with other countries? We are our own country pal not the parrot of others.
2. Why is tolerance wrong?
3. Why is the Burqa an affront to Australians? I’m a “right-minded” Aussie and I couldn’t give a fuck if they wear them or not!
4. Who says multiculturalism is washed up?
Yakovich 5 months ago
why the fuck is there a ufc logo at the start?
Folino46 5 months ago
@Folino46 Things Bogans like!
Yakovich 5 months ago
@DeanVincentBarmby Why is a Burqa an affront to an all right minded Australian? I don't get it why it is your or anyone else's business what someone wants to wear. And don't tell me it is about disguises. Because if you do, then what should I do about nuns? Or about people wearing hats, hoodies and sunglasses? What should I do if someone has a beard and then shaves it off? That's changing his appearance! Or women changing appearance with make up. Isn't that an affront too? No?
WarrenEdwardBuffet 5 months ago
@DeanVincentBarmby Asians use a similar ploy by all purposely looking the same.

I thought this was just going to be some bogan racist crap.
Well done on presenting a great vid with some interesting points. And I agree on this being Australia, supposedly a free country. Not for long.

@Ragnarok187 People don't miss freedoms until they're gone...
Yakovich 5 months ago

MrFictive 5 months ago
@MrFictive I think we have bigger problems but the relative amount of views on this video does demonstrate an unproportionate interest in the subject.

If you want to, wear a headscarf, but the burqa can go suck my dick.

what this guy doesnt seem to understand is that literally ANYONE could be hiding under one of these things. we cant identify them. What if a fuckn al-quaeda leader is walking around wearing one of these and blows up bazza? then what are we gonna do? if they are so desperate to hide themselves, they can wear a hijab. that way they can cover themselves and we can know who they are. everybody wins :D
