I miss all three of these guys. Glen, George and Roger Bennett. Roger was the finest southern gospel piano player ever. Heaven is sounding sweeter with these guys there.
George & Glen both had amazing voices and could testify with just their ability to sing, but I think even more poignant for me is just the way he communicates when he talks. He talks about being in a "vile world" bur reassures us God is in control and that just gives me a lot of strength. What a couple of giants for the Lord.
Boy! these two!!! George..... LOL.... If it wasn't Glen, It would be J. D. Good and Bad. UPs and Downs. Never gets old listening to them all. Miss them much. But, with out a doubt in my heart, they still at it up in Heaven. Always love watchin'em all. See ya some day.
This song could make even those cold weather Michigan Baptists cry, I know I was one of them LOL. Took me 35 years in Texas before I knew it was ok to let the tears flow and praise and beseech our God for mercy. Just kidding about the Baptists in Michigan, if it weren't for that little church in Lyons Michigan I would never have known of God's goodness.
I am a student at The University of Akron. I recently found out that Glen is my English teachers Uncle. I love Glen and George, and that makes me feel even closer to them!
I didn't know that Roger Bennett had gone Home. There are so many that have already gone. We might have to wait 50 million years but we will see all the saints that are there..
haha i love these men. never met 'em or heard got to hear 'em live, but they truly are righteous men that i deeply respect and honor. such a bond is present between them.
i love how glen looks so embarrassed when george tells that joke about the nose-toe shaving incident.
I found this song about ten minutes before opening an email, my cousin sent me, that contained the verse.. Daniel 4:17. Love and miss these guys very much.
The 3 Cathedrals you see in this wnderful clip have all passed on to glory now. Glen Payne, George Younce, and Roger Bennett. May God take thier ministry they were involved in on earth and multiply it even after they have gone. I know the songs still speak to me.
was anyone better at taking control of the stage & audience than george? imho, no. simply a master at his craft, including singing bass. and a gentleman. wow.
i wonder if God has a wal-mart, so i can get a cart from Glen... i was a child of the '60s but instead of the beatles i heard the cathedrals, the weatherfords and the golden keys (danny gaither's first quartet). as well as the gaither trio and others. their music filled me, even when i walked away from God. He stayed by me in this music.
It saddens me that so many precious pioneers and saints like George, Glen, JD, Jake, Rex, Howard And Vestal, and many others, are no longer with us, but it comforts me to know they are at home with all their loved ones with the Lord :)
When God took George and Glenn home to be with Him He took the best. Thank God for these videos so we can enjoy listening to them sing until we get to heaven to see them once again. They are out of this wicked world with all its problems and sitting at the Masters feet in perfect peace and harmony. I can't wait till I get there to be able to enjoy all the things God has prepared for us.
I could listen to them all day long! What a close friendship they had. How rare that is today. Look forward to seeing them on the OTHER SIDE! :) angie
If this video does not make you cry, I don't know what to tell you. God Bless You, and thank you for posting it.

So beautiful, the friendship, the easy joking, and then one of the most beautiful songs ever written, done so powerfully by these saints.
