stralman like many leafs prospects who arent here anymore, was a coulda woulda shoulda player for the leafs. what he can do, did do and should be capable of isnt worth our time. send him off, if he does great somewhere else thats good, but he dont fit the mold here in leafland. primeau + a pick does. and that 1.5 mill cap hit? burke is one of the best at shedding dead weight, this is only year 1.

I agree. I sis not realize what he was trying to do with this trade until i realized that that was what Burke was doing, and that it was a win-win trade for both teams. Flames save 1.4 million, and the leafs get rid of dead weight.

i mean i know about the trade, but my 9 yr old brother knows burke got him for a 4 line checker and he will be cheaper than meyars and more physical so... i dont know if this guy knows what is saying or is he just a fan with a camera..........

we couldn't send stralman down this season without him having to clear waivers. with our abundance of d-men, we had to start shedding some cause it would stink if we lost stralman for nothing in a waiver pickup. also remember the gold in this deal is the 2nd round pick. we essentially got the same for Stralman as we did for Antropov.

He seems like a big Burke type player, I think he will play on the leafs when hes healthy.

I am not sure about that. Burke also likes tough guys who can score. Perhaps he sees something in Primeau that others do not see.

Looks like primeau fits in well there considering wallin isnt going to be a 4th liner.. They say he's pretty good at faceoffs and especially good on the PK which is something the Leafs could really use. Personally I like the trade because Stralman never really did anything for the Leafs.
