Nice clip,shows action, but to be honest its not a very well QRA concept if the pilots have first to run to the jets. much effectiver if they allready are in the aircraft waiting on the aert.

@swisstestpilot they are in a 5' QRA from 06.00 until 21.00, you cant stay all these hours in the cockpit, when the COC says readines at 2' minutes then they run to the planes.........

@tasoscorsair in the swiss air force we practis QRA in this way that the pilots sit 2h in the aircraft, if there is no alert in the 2h the pilot will climbe out of the cokpit a other goes in the cokipt imedatly. of corse douring a day QRA also there are not ever thes same aircrafts are on alert. Douring cold war often the QRA Aircraft had one engion allready on (idel), by the F-5, the Mirages on QRA had JATO rockets for fast start.

@tasoscorsair The one With JATO Rockets was the Mirage IIIS and the Mirages IIIRS . Before we had the F/A18 the F-5E Tiger practis QRA with the left engin runing on idle in a special QRA HAS. In this configurations it had to be in 2minutes on the to combat zone (defending airspace and FL level.) With the F/A-18 we have diffrend alert states of QRA one is 5minutes in the combat zone or 2 minutes in combat zone. But of corse at events like WEF or Euro QRA is only the second row then we CAP

The F35 is an excellent plane with high level techonology. There are big disadvantages though.

-The planes for the Tuaf, for example, will not be in the same level with the USAf.

- Cant survive in environment like Aegean. Against poor airforce has no problem. But Haf

has the Embraer- Eurofighter or Rafale, Fremm- PAC- S300 and other solutions that will turn F35's advantages into a single plane.

The F1 was a terror for the first F16A of your airforce.

After the arrival of F16C, for the Tuaf, with better radar and engine, F1 lost the advantage of the better pilot-older plane (Greek pilot-second generation plane)against turkish better plane- lower pilot( F16A- turkish pilot). Turkish pilots are good and no one argues.

But the Greeks are much better.

Για να φτάσει το F-35 στην απόσταση που θέλουν οι Τούρκοι να φτάσει, θα χρειαστούν εξωτερικές δεξαμενές.

Συν το ότι οι ιδιότητες stealth τους θα είναι υποβαθμισμένες.

Πάει το stealth!

Συν το ότι σε ικανή απόσταση θα μπορούν να μεταφέρουν μόνο μία βόμβα για αποστολές κρόυσης. Που σε συνάρτηση με το ότι δε θα ρισκάρουν να τα χάσουν σε αερομαχίες, περιορίζει την ισχύ πυρός τους.

When you compare "mirage 2000 G force" (french) or "Riding Rafale"(French) to "HAF-mirage 2000-9" (Greek) tou can see the difference between Gentex equipment and french one

My friend, when HAF took the first Mirages at 1989, we bought France made helmets, but in order to have the same helmets for all the air force, the leadership thought that it would be the best to buy US made helmets. Now if they did choose the best, thats something I dont know...
