The original FURTHER bus sat on the property, faded paint and full of stories. I was at his property in the early 1990's, invited by friends. The bright new bus was there along with the original, ready to donate to the Smithsonian. Very cool cat who loosed this wild spirit into America's consciousness. Thank the govt and the California university who paid him to test LSD. He turned it into art, rather than mind control. Trust no authority but that which you feel inside. Then share it. Thanks, K.
Everything going on here is crying above all the wrecks of the 60s, and trying to keep alive the whole stuff, though it is evidently dead. Cherishing the memory of a hopeful revolution which has turned upside down.
I love that song @1:46 - "The Rakoto Frah Two Step" from Madagascar. Henry Kaiser and David Lindley recorded the album "A World Out of Time" down there. Great album of world music.
I got to briefly hang out with him in 1991 in Ca and his presence was so beautiful and strong, I got the feeling he wanted the very best for every living thing.
Wow, what a good old fella. I miss him so much. How tragic that described his yearning to not leave his words undone-- he died just a few months later.
R.I.P Kesey. I remember when this video first came out and I stumbled across his web site (self maintained) and it was crazy. Now I wish I had been able to order the video, I didn't realizes the boxes looked so good.

The bus looks alive to me. It's covered in life, just as alive now as it ever was, it's just alive in a different way then it used to be.

Wow. Kesey was old and out of touch. God bless his soul for hand-dipping those VHS covers.
