My grandma grew up in Halifax. She'd always say chesterfield. I've never heard that in western Canada though. Couch is used 99% of the time, sofa very occasionally.
Kraft Dinner is called what it is because its a brand name, yes it is macroni and cheese, but it is just a brand of it. By the way, its pronounced "New-fin-land"
