  • chemistry on a nuclear level

  • @assym2006 No what?

  • If someone could point me to where I can find out more I would really appreciate it howie20092009@live.com

  • TotallyOUTRAGED why do you think so many of us Australians are affected by cancer of some sort or another, I would personally like to know in detail exactly what they where dropping in our backyard. I also wonder what effects all this had on our OZONE LAYER. howie20092009@live.com

  • @howiewillie Nukes are very different to nuclear meltdowns, radiation from nuclear weapons is highest in the first couple of days, after a couple of weeks radiation will have fallen to acceptable levels, it also does no damage to the ozone layer, a nuke is no different from a nuclear powerstation in the reactions taking place, the only difference is the reactions take years rather than 1 billionth of a second.

Wiki nuclear fusion or fisson for more information.

  • @AwsomeAthiest Thanks for your reply, I followed your advice and did some more reading.

I was wondering if you know where to find any information about the tests performed at Maralinga

I had a book written years ago about the subject but sadly I have lost it a long time ago

    I would appreciate any advise.

    Thanks again

  • @howiewillie From what i have quickly dug up it seems that the areas in which the tests were performed, to an area of around 120 square/kms, the radiation was at a level 10 times higher than that considered safe after the cleanup operation, it is worth noting that that figure is for people living in the area and not visiting.

Most of the test performed created an explosion no bigger than a mile across, so i would expect the fallout to be relatively confined to the local area.

  • @howiewillie In my personal opinion unless you live in the area the tests were performed i wouldnt worry to much, even if you do i would estimate your risk to be about the same as that of a heavy smoker, nuclear weapons do have lasting effects but there danger is small compared with that of nuclear meltdowns such as Chernobyl, which coincidently happened about the time i was born, april 1986 :)

  • the thing i dont get is why we need those its funny cuz if they use innocent adults and children will get hurt to i hope i die before i see the day nuclear bombs launch anywere its heartbreaking

  • 4:06 gokus spirt bomb

  • The P.M of the day Robert Menzies wasn't an Aussies arsehole, why would anyone allow a foreign power to pollute your country for a 100,000 yrs. He let them (the evil English) do anthrax test too. No one can ever go to the anthrax poisoned islands the UK govt. wont pay their nuke tested servicemen compensation. Just a Porton Down in the Outback?

  • @rag5206, Cos we "the evil English" can and did, we built Aus and had every right to test there.

  • @TheCharlie359 Thanks 4 admitting your Evil heaps of people in India,Egypt,Fiji,Africa etc would agree also u could return ALL the stolen artifacts forn the British Museum to Egypt, Greece etc & to the native people in Oz & NZ. Good on the Scottish they will be Independent soon & keep profits from Nth Sea Oil. Arrogance thy name is English. I suppose the English built America too?

  • @rag5206, So uneducated, just because something is made somewhere dosn't mean it belongs there, if that was the case the world should return everything the industrial revolution made possible to GB, and dont kid yourself, the Scottish people overwhelmingly support the UK union and yeah, British finance built the America's right up to WW1 so if your expecting an apology from the "EVIL ENGLISH" keep dreaming, it aint ever going to happen.

  • the last mushroom cloud is awesome!

Watch how the ice it creates is falling from the centre creating the "stem"

  • dig the music bro, lots better than some gay techno like those other nuc vids

  • I want to wipe the earth clean of all the people responsible for this kind of abomination, but what would that make me? What a dilemma.

  • The start of global warming was this sort of testing.France tested 5 in the Atols, boiled the sea.

  • Go to "Australian Atomic Confessions" on YouTube for a great doco on this subject. Fully recommended.

  • when are men going to learn that blasting the hell out of each other is not the way to settle our differences!?!?

  • Yeah... Diplomacy works soo much better :-/

  • mankind will cause it own destruction. to be real honest i cant wait.

  • what NIN song is in this video?

  • It's "Dead Souls" from "The Crow" soundtrack.

  • huh! i didn't realise the british tested so many bombs in australia, and we jumped up and down when the french tested in the pacific!
