@stoopidmonkeyful In fact, it's a b-side for "everyday". The two songs are very much alike, indeed and Phil made the choice to bring "everyday" to its final stage while "take me with you" remained a demo. I kinda like this one better, though.

@john4592 There are three different digipacks for "everyday" where you can find usually "don't call me ashley" and various takeouts, like early demos or live versions which aren't always the same. It depends on the country where the CD was issued. But now I've checked, I also found "Take me with you" on my "We wait and we wonder" digipack. Can't tell you if it a European/American issue, though. :)

I like those B-sides. Used to look for all kinds of demos and unreleased lives second-hand =D

@mollymaxlizzy absulutly actually the problem now is record companies want a quick buck. its better than the 5 year contracts or the 5 album contracts of the past. remember phil left Virgin for WEA and got a 5 album contract. which he was paid a huge fee. in our day the papers used to tell us about the huge contracts and we were happy that at least phil george or whoever would be making 4-5 albums this would give writers like phil the time to write. but now its a fast buck quanity not quality.

for me good songs create atmospheres when i was a little kid.. I would get visuals of the song in me head. Its not about.. how much chords,.. or how sophisticated a song is... but about if it breathes an atmospere or not. This song does!

Definitely should've been track four on "Both Sides" instead of "I've Forgotten Everything." That song was good, but this one would've fit better in my opinion. Beautiful!

it is beautiful ye...but i dnt think it quite fits in with the other songs on 'both sides'...i fink its almost too beautiful and a little too different to go on it...but ye it deserved better than it got...if he'd done another album it could easily have gone on that..along with other great songs from that time like 'for a friend' and 'dont call me ashely'

You're right, after a few more listens, it does sound a bit different than most of the material on "Both Sides." Still a great song, though, sounds pretty sad. Probably a break-up song.

I disagree. I think "I've Forgotten Everything" was probably the best track on the album. However, I think they could've replace "Can't Find My Way" with this track.
