Black-Winged Dragon: Anti Burn damage

Stardust: Anti-destruction

Black Rose: Field control

Red Dragon Archfiend: Clear away cards like Spirit Reaper and Marshmallon.

I say back then, it took less skill, as it was just "beat the crap out of your opponent". Nowadays, it's cover your bases, use strategy, THEN beat the crap out of your opponents xD

@Alteisen92 Oh yeah, Six Samurai's are definitely broken(I hate my friend's Six Sam deck). And GX was definitely my favorite era. But my point is, cards like Stardust, Red Dragon, and Black Rose need skill to be played CORRECTLY.

It's like Zane said: there's a difference between knowing how to use a card and how to play it.

My friends and I duel at lunch, and much hilarity ensues. Especially since we usually gang up on my one friend after he brings out Power Tool Dragon.

You're only limited to 15 cards in your extra deck, and employing combos which involve Fusion, Synchro and Exceed Summonings is incredibly difficult one might think it's impossible. I don't know, it could be possible, but as far as my thinking goes, I don't think you can make an effective deck combining all three methods of Summoning. p.s. I've tried making a deck with Synchro and Fusion, it didn't end up very good.
