MJ didnt steal it MJ used it its a dance form an anyone can use a dance he may have changed some of it but i think its creative look at the success he had with it
I wouldn't say that. Boogaloo Shrimp tought him how to Pop'n'Lock! And as you can see he doesn't do it the same way, he didn't steal it, he borrowed it!LOL
Well, I studied law for three years. I'm an intellectual property attorney. (We handle such things as patents, trademarks, and copyright issues.) You cannot file for patent protection on a dance move, as you claimed in your original post.
dont know who dat guy is but he's not locking right... don campbell, the creator of locking, says u gotta use your elbows, as if hitting somebody with dem, to go out, not use the "lock" in the wrists...
that is probably why don campbell patented the lock, so that those who wanna teach how to lock properly need to obtain a license to do so.. there are only two people in the world that has a locking license- don campbell (the creator), and tony tee (a member of Tokyo City Lockers, best friends with Don, who started the first b-boy crew in Japan) whom i've had the honor to study under...
laugh all you want, i've actually studied under don campbell for 3 years, and performed on shows with him... there are people who teach locking moves, but technically, you're not supposed to teach the entire style... that is of course, you're part of the original los angeles city lockers known as the "lockers"
is ther the lock 2??
