  • It only seems to be the wrong mood because you know the Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet. The writer of this song was probably thought "Romeo and Juliet" just meant two famous lovers.

  • I think it's because Romeo and Juliet parallels the Butterfly Lovers (Liang shan bo yu Zhu yin Tai) They just use those two examples to say that 'I love you so much I am willing to be your Juliet etc.' or that 'My love is as strong'?
