they tend to let them off one by one and they move in the direction and speed of the wind, i too thought these were UFO's until i let a few of witha friend
Dear Biggles - can't believe you are the authority on what the Americans are up to! They would not be looking at Droitwich...let alone Worcestershire!
I live in Droitwich too and have seen these a couple of times. They are called fire lanterns. See them on ebay for sale. They are basically a huge strong balloon that you put a lighted wick in. They let them off at music festivals and outside weddings and parties.
This may explain it possibly - though I am not total;ly convinced it was these. They were moving far too fast and were very regularly spaced. Can you explain how fire lanterns would behave in this way ??
If you read the information opposite (click info), you will see that I have said these are not normal aircraft lights as they were moving far too fast for this and their spacing would not imply just one object. As a further note they were not flickering - this was just how the digital camera recorded them. They were just orange lights of a larger size than aircraft tail/wing lights that most people are familiar with.
Trouble is, when there's only your word for it then it's a question of opinion. Perhaps you could send it for analysis?
Personally I've heard from several people who claim to have seen strange stuff; and about five years ago I myself saw some odd lights looking southwest from the park - they were noiseless, moved erratically in all directions, seemed to multiply, then disappeared behind a small cloud.
Would be great to get some good footage; granted on the spur of the moment that's hard!

Watching the video the flickering red/green lights make these mysterious lights look very like an aircraft..
However I live in Droitwich and have heard a few tales about weird lights so will keep an open mind.
