YAY I FOUND IT! I used to watch this EVERY TIME I went to my grandma and granddad's house! I can't believe I found it! This almost makes me cry it brings back so many memories!
"Oh, the wattle is bwoken WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" It's always amusing seing grown men go so nuts that they act like babies. And I especially liked the ending.
Was born in the 90's I remember I had the old vhs' of Little Lulu and would come home from school pop in a vhs and be glued to the tv. Ahh brings back memories, living in the country Little Lulu would always keep me company hehe.<3
Thank you SO much for posting this. This episode was my favorite of all the Little Lulu VHS tapes I had. I can't believe so many others watched this! I thought I was the only one!
Hey family! I just discovered one of my favorite cartoons, Little Lulu. This describes how I feel about new relationships (It's not what I wanted) but fake it, cause it might make it! xoxo, ak
this brings back some great memories. I have this on a VHS and it was my favorite as a child. I would go to my grandparents house and watch it. I watched it so much that my grandfather called me Lulu, and that has always been my nickname. Thanks for sharing :)
My sister and I used to watch a video with cartoons from this era on it as kids, but we'd always have to skip over this one, because the scene from 3:18 from 4:22 used to make her cry so much; even at 19, that part still terrifies her.
I still don't understand why that was, but maybe I'm no person to talk, because the Casper segment where his little pet fox dies always made me bawl.
This used to be on a vhs a few years back along with some other random cartoons like casper, little audrey, and three stooges...Anyone know the name of the vhs?
Little Lulu, Little Lulu with freckles on your skin- Always in and out of trouble....But mostly always in- Usin' Daddy's necktie for the tail of your Kite- Usin' Mommy's lipstick for the letters you write- Though the clock says 7:30....Its really after 10- Looks like Lulu's been repairing it again- THOUGH YOUR WILD AS ANY ZULU AND JUST AS HARD TO TAME Little Lulu, I love you-lu, just the same the same- Little Lulu, I love you, just the same. Cool song!
Little Lulu is the best! But wen i was a kid, i watched the newer Little Lulu cartoons. These ones are just as awesome! But I really like the voice of the new Lulu better! haha!
I am 21 and watched a fair few of these episodes with my grandfather before he passed away. He introduced me to alot of the classics...Little Audrey...Little Lulu...he Little Rascals...and The Three Stooges. Also...a British show called "The Baldy Man" I wish they showed more of those types of shows...Now a days....it seems that the humor has lost its edge. The classics can never be replaced...plain and simple.
It is because of the stupid people who would claim that using words like injun are racist. It's only in good cheer, but people have to freak out on it. I mean come on! 1:50 is funny right?
"The customer is always right"....Yeah, THOSE days are gone. You don't even get service anymore, it's all "Self-Serve" so they can pay less people while still charging you more. When was the last time you saw a floorwalker? I've never seen one, they were before my time. I wish things were more like they were back then.
Ive been looking for this for years.i remember my aunt got this for me on video for my bday with the aladdin and the king of thieves. it also had an ep of little audrey and cake-land :)
This is amazing! I saw this cartoon on television as a 7-8 year old, and without knowing anything about Little Lulu at the time. And when I suddenly rediscover it here on youtube, it's just as funny as it was back then! I distinctly remember several of the scenes just because they were so funny.
oh my god. 6:28 is sooooo bizarre. i never understood what was going on there when i was little. but i guess he think it's some woman's big fat ass and that makes him happy. gross.
I love these Famous Studios Lulu cartoons much more than the updated HBO version. So un-PC. They even removed the "wild as any Zulu" line from the theme of the new one. I swear, we are so worried about offending people we forgot to have fun.
i also had a vhs copy, an eon ago. "superstar cartoons," i think the set titles were. the weirdly enormous spaces shown in this animation influenced so many of my childhood dreams, seriously; everything felt metaphysical and diluted and more than just slightly off. mad love.
I can't tell if the floorwalker was a dolphin, a seal or dog at the end. I guess most folks (especially those Jackson Beck does the voices of) always tend to wish they were dead when they have a run-in with somebody like Lulu!
I just got a DVD with this one on it. It was the first time I had ever seen the old Little Lulu show. I used to watch the newer one when I was a kid. I used to find it mildly entertaining. But for some reason I find myself laughing my head off at these old ones.
The DVD is called Cartoon Classics or something like that, it was published by a company named platinum, when I looked for information on the company or the DVD on the internet, I couldn't find anything. I think the DVD may be pirated. But I'm sure there has to be another DVD somewhere that has these cartoons on it.
27 ratings, and STILL five stars! ^_^ Great to hear that people aren't overlooking older animations, even if most people think that they're terrible. (Most TASTELESS people, anyway. xD) Good on ya, Lulu! And thanks for posting this again, Tuber!
My fav video EVER! It's fun watching this ten years later, now that I can read. xP And of course, being the only two, I never got the jist of the joke when the salesman was feeling up and squeezing the vacuum cleaner bag from behind him. XD Little Lulu cartoons are MUCH cheekier, fifteen years later! XD
Same here it also had A Bout With A Trout, Betty Boop,Looney Tunes, Fat Albert, and many more cartoons on it.Does anybody know the name of the video all this was on?
Was it by any chance an orange tape with this episode, the one where she plays hooky and another where she's on a train? If so, I had the same one!! I can't possibly remember how many times I watched it, it's such a great cartoon!

Most of the golden age cartoons from the 1940s has "sleazy" humor like that. That's what makes these cartoons so enjoyable :)
