  • Whats the song at the beginning??????

  • What happened from 1:12 to 1:50?

  • @NHarmonik Jennifer drank a drugged beverage and was taken to the cannibal's cell.

  • If I buy the playstation version of Amazon or Ebay with the text be in still Japanese or will there be an option to change toe language?

  • Does anyone know where a working link for the SNES version is? I've scoured the web but I can't find anything that works anymore. :/

  • What the ASS is with the zombies walk cycle????

  • in the original game, you could encounter the corpse, but it didn't move, i tried to find it again, but it didn't appeared =(, i also freaked out when it opened it's eyes in this video =S

  • 05:00-05:15

    Monster: let's dance, baby

Jennifer: you 're way too ugly, aaaagh!

  • the doll was chucky?

  • @NoelleCoil its your dead great great great great great grandmother.. she only wants a hug :)

  • Is this game only available in Japan?

  • A Drum & Bass remix of the "Bobby's here"-track? :O

  • 8:38 so that's how Dan survived and became Edward the second survivor

  • what's the name of the first song that plays? it sounds pretty cool.

  • @YourEnd7

It's a remix of the theme ''mystery'' (PS1) or ''I'm looking for mary'' (SNES) in clock tower.

  • the last one is dan becoming the next scissor man

  • wait so what does she say after killing the zombie?

  • 1:08 I don't think that ones an extra, unless what it says has changed.

  • 4:52 EL CUCUY!!!!!!

  • @rangerxdxd

    AIIIIIIIIGHHHEEEE

  • at 1:43,, does jennifer die or what? 0_o or did they make an icon for when she faint?

  • 0:42 pretty freakin ugly.

  • @1dra7 LOL

  • man i been looking for the enlish version rom for ps1 emulator, closest i could get was super nintendo rom but the fucking rom must be corrupt and the game doen't work ffs

  • I imagined wacky music playing in the background when the thing at 4:57 started chasing her.

I don't know why. It's pretty funny though.

  • Thumbs up if this should be on 3DS

  • Also worth noting is that fact that the PSX version has a few minor dialogue changes. When Jennifer runs away from Mary in Ending B's route a kicks her down the tower, she doesn't say anything in the SNES version. In the PSX version, she says something (forgot what it was though), making the whole scene a bit more cheesy imo.

  • 0:39 Jennifer is that ugly? lol

  • ZOMG GOLEM 4:50

  • auhsuaus ja vi q nesse jogo eles gostam bastante de homenzinhos

  • "Oh! This game game is a bit scary but not as..."

    *see Jennifer opening the closet*

    "What the fu..."

*see the cadaver opening his eyes*

    "OH MY FUCKING DERP!!!"

  • Don't Cry, Jennifer is my favorite song. :D

  • Woah, they actually showed Edward/Dan surviving... I guess it wasn't a big cop out for part 2 after all

  • what the difference between clock tower on SNES and the first fear on PSX? and which one is better to get...someone tell me please...my head is gonna explode

  • @aramco123 The PSX version has extra scenes in it. It's also entirely in Japanese. ONLY Japanese.

  • "pfft, zombies dont look that scary, theyre just target practice" (opens cupboard) "HOLY SH(craps pants)"

seriously, thats the scariest zombie ive ever seen

  • please put the one up where the parrot rats jennifer out whens shes under the bed...don't put music in it though...put the actualy scene

  • Oh Man, I remember 4:52 in the SNES, the zombie didn't chase you though. I remember it scared the crap out of me because I didn't expect it. This was one of the couple scenes I actually jumped out of my chair from Clock Tower.

  • what is the song name?

  • i always wondered would chuck norris survive there?

  • WHERE IS THE THING!

  • @araraohyeah only in japan... :(

  • When I saw the dead body's eyes open turning into a zombie, I freaked out. Not gonna sleep well tonight...

She killed by a doll and a parrot? C'mon, a Goomba could survive better in here!

  • @Conkerfan364 Nemesis from Resident Evil would be so enraged in the whole game, pretty much against anything that moves. Even the doll.

  • @Conkerfan364 Hey, c'mon. That parrot is the paragon of evil.

    I KEEL YOU!

  • 8:36 that is edward from clock tower 2 its DAN...

    ?

  • wats on the tv

  • Comment removed

  • @iamcountcronos

    I believe it's Bobby Burrows

  • @AndyN

No, it's Dan Barrows. Dan has psychic powers, which is how he strangles Jennifer through the mirror.

  • @toaofanimation Eh? When I paused the video when it showed the face, and it really looks like Bobby, with the really fat cheeks and everything. Guess I was imagining things.

  • @toaofanimation AH! I apologize. I mixed up the names. Been awhile since I've played.

  • lol at 4:54 its the thing

  • i love scary video games (silent hill series, condemned, resident evil, fatal frame, etc), but i seriously don't understand how anyone could play this all the way through. i've played all the clock tower games, and even though the graphics in the 3rd installment in the US is superior in graphics, the scare factor in this is incredible. it gets your heart beating like no other. maybe because it's very much like Dario Argento's work.... creepy >.<;;;;

  • @MatchaCUB

I only found this game scary the first time I played it (which was at 4:00 AM). Of course, there are some times when it still makes me jump, like when Bobby appears in an unusual place, or I see that corpse in the closet of the taxidermist's room.

  • It would be cool if they actually released this as a download on the PSN. Or at least to get a translated version of this. I have played the SNES ore so I know there are English roms out there but not of this version.

  • @ryan489 they have english-translated versions of First Fear. (of course i may have misunderstood you)

  • @MatchaCUB It's ok, I realize that it seems a bit weird. What I meant to say was I've played the English rom for SNES but what I'd like to play is the actual first fear game with all the extras added to it. On that same note I wonder if Clock Tower US will get a PSN release as well.

  • i think the taxidermy room has a purpose in the windows version. for me the thing in coupard never comes alive and i always find the key on the table. am i doing something different?

  • When i saw this woman a 4:54 at first when I played this game, I actually pissed my pants...

  • The broken room, could be where the hand in the parrot room comed from?

btw anyone know why in the nintendo version you find a key after seeing die ann

    on the window

im talking about the "copper key"

somebody knows what it is for

  • IT WOULD BE AWESOME A MOVIE OF THIS!!!

  • this game used to keep me awake at tnight. now its just fun :)

  • 3:41 Is that a crow/raven beheaded?

  • @Sixtoclon yep

  • @VoyagesInEnglish they say it either knocks u out and puts u in the cell or heals u, random chance.

  • Was this released in the US or EU in English?

  • This game was only released in japan for SNES and Playstation I believe.

    Hope that answers your question.

    "clock tower 2" in Japan,

is "clock tower 1" in US and EU

  • @TheAbsintheReviewNet

There is an English Version for the SNES... google it. ;)

  • @Saryakan no there is a translated Japanese ver but it was too Gorey to release in america

  • i wonder if they can remake this game but put it the same with out adding extra features to the game but make the walk movement more easier to control...

  • 5:08!?

    OMG YAY ZOMBIES OF DEWM.

owwies if you get caught XD

  • and..the end..

DAN (SpoilerAlert:) or the new Edward...

    is coming...

    ...for jennifers soul D:

  • WTF a clown doll using a knife!!!!

  • @simsdayfan

Hmm, can you imagine Child's Play in Japanese?

  • 6:22 oh yeah ! she should have done that to bobby, the slap that turn things into ashes XD

  • what happens at @1:57 to 2:47??

  • What happens if the zombie gets you? Is it just a generic "dead end"?

  • is this available in english?

  • @TheLegendofJessica Why, yes, it is. It's the PS1 version of The First Fear, so you could either order it online, pay for it from a pawn shop or friend, or download a PS1 emulator and the game ROM.

  • Zombies are cool :)

  • Oh wait a minute! This was posted on my birthday! Look at the date!

  • Oops, no no no no no, I meant that's the DAY of my birthday, not the exact YEAR, month and day. My bad if I didn't explain it right. XD

  • OMFG! That zombie was creeeeepy! I would've taken it out with mah sword!

  • Does it matter which girl I keep alive on the SFC version?

  • Comment removed

  • OMG! A ZOMBIE!?...someone said that in 1 version you see Jen's mom and shes a zombie...(was that her mom?...probebly not)anyway i thought she was bluffing but...oh wow...*shivers*

  • what jennifer say at the window? she look very sad!

  • wonder if that body becomes a stalker like bobby

  • What, the one that rises from the ashes of Dan? Or the zombie?

This is a bit of a spoiler for the PlayStation sequel, but the one that rises from the ashes is the main antagonist in that game.

However... the zombie... I don't know. Zombies are always cool, I guess.

  • @teaflower565 It was Dan.

  • u can buy this on ebay

  • haha i think at some point. every1 yells at the tv like she hears us. haha run bitch run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you just gotta love this music ///_^

  • That Last Scene Explains How Dan Is In The Second One And Not Bobby!

  • nice to know you can actually see what's in the unclickable (in the SNES version) room in the form of this version. i wonder why they would remove the click function though--it's just another bedroom.

  • I'm so bummed this game was never translated and sold in the U.S.. I've wanted to add this to my collection for so long. The Clock Tower series is truly an epic creation (mainly the first two games). I really want to see a next-gen Clock Tower and the return of Scissorman!

  • Hopefully there will be a true next-gen Clock Tower sequel with Scissorman as the killer. That's my dream.

  • Scissorman = Bobby :) and i do too. He's a really good scare :D

  • i thought that was just a body but holy shit!

  • Heh, adds meaning to the story of Clock Tower 2.

  • they should release this on the virtual console

  • @darkfire9871

They did.....months ago.....Virtual Console is the on on the Wii, right?

Cuz I read Wikipedia and It said just that.

  • @darkfire9871 They did, but only in Japan.

  • @darkfire9871 I heard I was going too but only in Japan

  • im clearing all the snes endings of this game. neat to see the comparisons to when it first came out on famicom way back and the upgrades on the PS re-release lol, like the corpse in the locker being alive to funny i dont get how the blood and maggot scenes are considered extras since they were in the original and look the same. but great video none the less. cheers!

  • The knife in this game reminds me of Yume Nikki. :D

Also Zerobass, are you a big fan of this series? I've seen that some of your videos are clocktowers ones with plenty of info. :D

  • wait...u have weapons on clock tower?

  • Just very poor, improvised ones.

  • wat the name of the song on the video it rules!!!

  • now that zombie part freaked me out D:

    the games pretty scary

  • Edward cameo

  • Where?

  • Just kidding, I meant the boy rising from dan's ashes

  • ooh thank you so much for uploading! Ive only played the SNES rom of this and didnt get to see all this extra stuff

  • What i want to know is who was the zombie before he or she died.

  • jennifers mother

  • holy crap!!

  • What is the scariest one. The first fear, the one with Giant scissor man or the other one?

  • There's actually four Clock Tower Games

1, aka The First Fear, is probably the scariest, though the second [released as just Clock Tower in the US] is also supposed to be pretty good. Ghost Head (2 US/3rd JP) I have only heard bad things about... and 4 (Released as Clock Tower 3 in the US) is fairly scary/eerie most of the time, but really overthrows it with the Magical Girl boss battles...

  • Which is the one with the old man with da big scissors? And the one which has the same graphics and all like that one but with zombies, ghosts and shit? :)

  • The scissorman is actually only 10 years old.

This and Clock Tower (not first fear) have the scissorman.

  • cool xD

  • what about clock tower 3 (U.S).... I saw that there was like an old guy with garden shears too....

  • Clock Tower 3 was... well, not very similar to other clock towers. I'm sure it's not the real scissorman.

  • CT3 had the Scissortwins. A brother and sister combo that dressed up like jesters. Definately not the real scissorman.

  • That would be Scissorman.

  • perfect reply

  • @GarlyleWilds Hauting ground was supposed to be titled as Clock Tower 4. The guy who is remaking remothered should also remake the one for playstation. Hopefully he will add more eerie scenes and situations.

  • @GarlyleWilds and Haunting Ground Which was meant to be 4 Before they changed the game title

  • I say the Psx clock tower the one with Edward (Dan) as the scissor man is both the scariest and the best followed by this one. Clock tower 3 had good scares but it really didn't blend in with the first two. Still it's better than Ghost head.

  • I finished all endings up on the PSX version of this, and discovered a few things. Contrary to what the FAQ on GameFAQs says, you can get the S and A endings with either of the girls alive, and it's actually EASIER with Laura alive, since even hearing Ann scream in this version will screw it up.

Also, my complaints about graphics, sound, and animation do still stand, but the cursor control in this version is smooth and almost painless, so there's at least one good thing about this port.

  • A few more complaints about this version (now that I finally got the S ending - apparently you have to read the notes on the floor next to your dad in order to get it, unlike in the SFC version, where you just have to look at the bag and the corpse):

    - The timing on Scissorman's death is also awkward - he starts going nuts at almost the same time the gears start turning, instead of slightly after

    - The rain outside the tower looks horrible

So I will be buying a cart of the SFC version. :)

  • Okay, I just found a site that had this, and I have to say, it's inferior to the SFC version for the following reasons:

    - Graphics have crappy PSX dithering

    - Music is horrible tinkly MIDI instead of the genuinely creepy music of the original

    - Dan's death scene is less dramatic (not only because you see him come back, giving away the next game, but also because the animation and timing are clunkier)

    - You can apparently only get the S Ending with Ann alive (Laura must die)

  • "the sequence after the creature burns (at the end) is not on SNES version, and it was a good idea to include that one"

I disagree. It's better to think the whole drama is over, and I doubt the development team was necessarily counting on a sequel. I suspect that scene was a retcon (since this version came out after CT2JP).

  • WAIT, I JUST HAD AN IDEA!!! You know how in the original game, there's a door that's always sealed off? And also when you reach the elevator you can't push "1"? I think that door that's sealed off should be the elevator room!!!

  • It works at certain point if I recall right... or at least, if you could get down in one of the floors (without Mary trying to kill you), you could actually find the collapsing corridor from the mansion (it will always give up as you near it).

The sealed door is included on the PSX version, on the SNES you could not even click it.

  • If you click '2' on the elevator, knock Mary over, and walk right, you find the collapsing floor.

As for the spare room, what I meant was that it shouldn't have been an extra bedroom, it should have been the first floor room leading to the elevator (it had a first floor switch that was broken).

  • Thanks for making it clear. :)

As for the Elevator Room... the mansion is quite confusing to me (there's a drawing of the map of how it is supposed to be). Finding the logic between room connections is something that somewhat haunted me during the first plays... If this room mentioned before, was to be the elevator room, it needs to be at the height of the "screaming corridor".

  • Hey. I know I'm replying to this almost an entire year later, but you're right. (I'm Dkongfreak, with a new account). The room connection is eery. If you draw a map of the Barrow's Mansion, you will see that the broken window that drops to the pool should actually be facing the street outside of the mansion. Also, the broken hole at the beginning should be on the other side of the sealed off corridor. Strange indeed.

  • (It's ok, I always kept this account). The mansion is strangely confusing on this manner. Sometimes the before mentioned rooms trade places.

The limit between the ceiling and 2nd stage floor when the piano room is below (as Bobby is able to hide somewhere up there). I don't see a "main entrance" (unless It's on a dead angle) to the mansion, making the garage the only way out.

  • The main entrance is in the first foyer at the beginning. The door to the right that you cannot open is the main entrance.

  • I had the impression that this door was an alternate entrance to the West Wing of the Mansion. So, I didn't really mind it for a while (because I remember opening it). Thanks for the observation!!

  • "As for the spare room, what I meant was that it shouldn't have been an extra bedroom, it should have been the first floor room leading to the elevator (it had a first floor switch that was broken)."

Makes sense to me. Besides, the bonus room is pretty stupid.

  • So, the infamous Knife led into finding the infamous Copper Key for an extra room...

I would love that somebody could "patch" these missing pieces on the SNES version of CT, just to extend the value of the game.

  • "So, the infamous Knife led into finding the infamous Copper Key for an extra room..."

Nope. The knife led to finding the key to the birdcage. In other words, they made the game a wee bit harder.

  • Oh, my confusion, thanks for making things clear.

It's fine if it gets harder... it makes you discover new things and find replay value on trying different situations. I love this game.

  • "It's fine if it gets harder..."

I agree, but I think the zombie was a bit over-the-top for this game. I still prefer the SFC version in almost all respects.

BTW, I got the actual cart last week! The battery backup even still works, and the previous owner(s) hadn't yet gotten the S,A,D,E, or F endings, so I had a fair amount to clear. I too love this game.

  • BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • 5:00 - Oh shit it's alive.

  • Zombie: Snore!!!

Jennifer: What the hell is this thing?

    Zombie's eyes open

    Jennifer: Holy crap!!!

    Zombie: Im gonna eat yoooooou!!!

  • Jennifer: *hits him with knife*

Zombie: Dude..what the hell was that? Its people like you that just ruin this clocktower.

  • whats with the mirror and tv?

  • Don't cry Jenifer fan site

  • it reminds me of Dark Seed

  • you can get the dagger in the snes version via gameshark. i think maybe they originally had the zombie attack in the snes version, but took it out cuz it looked lame and was more scary as just a dead body.

  • can someone translate this for me please..

    nice video

  • God I wish I could find this game.

  • The problem with SNES version is that it hasn't got all the things shown in this video: the creature in the closet doesn't wake up (and don't need to kill it with a dagger); the sequence after the creature burns (at the end) is not on SNES version, and it was a good idea to include that one so that you can understand how can Dan Barrows (the creature) be Scissorman in the Clock Tower starred by Jennifer Simpson and Helen Maxwell (PSX). But anyway, all I have to say is that this game rocks!

  • Hey! That was great!xD but, where did u get these songs?? are really good!!xD

  • does the playstation version of this have the original in it?

  • Dans alive. Well in this version they actually show him. Well not exactly show him, but that white glowing thing is obviously his eye.

  • 4:54 What is that damn thing O.O

  • Zombie i guess

  • An awesome addition.

  • if you want to play this game, you just need to download an snes emulator and the clock tower rom file. it is fansubbed and looks almost like the psone version

  • the zombie's face it makes is funny

  • it walks funny too X3

  • The picture for Jennifer's portait bar at 1:46 scares me.

I really wish that the Playstation version had an English patch. I want to play it and understand it!

  • It would be cool if Clock Tower was remade in next gen or at least the wii.

  • LOL THE ZOMBIE!

  • Can someone tell me where I can get Clock Tower music? If you can get me some through MSN or something id gladly appreciate it.

  • You can find Clock Tower music (of almost all the games) at the "Don't cry Jennifer" fansite, you can google it and download the zips =)

  • That zombie was scary as hell when I first saw it. It's kind of goofy now, but I still don't want to find it in my closet...

  • One of the scariest game I ever played.

    And that zombie looks familiar...
