This song rocks and is so close to the recording. Just because he's having issues with the earpiece doesn't mean he's bad. I mean, I'm listening to him singing and he is hitting it on time and pitch. I listen to this song A LOT, too. He is great, just having some issues.

Well, I think the dissonance was purposefully done to create some tension in the song. The non-lyrical part was obviously done that way. He can sing, so it wasn't just an accident.

Look at where the sour notes are in the performance. After the first time the bridge comes in, he sings with a delay of like half a beat, and holds his earphones, looking angry. It seems like the sound isn't synched to his earphones and it throws him off from there on. So, the sound malfunctions, it's not the best performance, yeah. But his breathing is fine, he breathes correctly to finish each line! And he doesn't use falsetto...

Evidently you're never going to agree with me that Heppner (usually!) sings "properly." But I would wager that most people prefer the oeuvres of certain artists because the right music SHOULD make you feel pretty cool. This fleeting feeling of coolness could be false but is a positive one. And I wouldn't say that being German is the greatest thing possible, but I like much of their music/clture and have just spent 5 years learning their language properly. Nothing wrong with that!

@kleenespinne - Touch wasn't on the setlist of the last tour. Problem for me with this live-version was, that he didn't sing this uhhhhhh alone, the original cd-part set also in and it wasn't the same hight, think without it it won't heard so bad but at the end of the concert he became problems with his in-ear-plugs. But I must confess that since those days of the Spectators tour he got more and more confidence and sings in a stunning quality
