Be careful in ur judgments/statements in others. The words says not to judge others, judge sin, yes, judge the person or thing, no. For the way u judge others God will judge u. The word also says not to argue over it. So allow others to have their personal opinions about what the believe. Praying that their eyes will be opened works a lot quicker then arguing our personal interpretation of the word. God/the Holy Spirit is so much better at opening our eyes then we can.

Good stuff! The "ONLY" thing I would "change" about dudes delivery is the Jay-esqueness (made up word but y'all know what I mean!). Dude is far too bright and even spirit filled to have to ride on Jigga's style! Don't get me wrong, the S dot Carter is nice (BIG was better) but Truth can run with his own flow and kill it (as it were). Still very good stuff content wise!

God created all things and sin entered and corrupted them. Man became sinful and the earth that God created for man was cursed. However, we see redemption all throughout the Bible, God taking sinful cultures and sinful men, redeeming them and using them for His purposes. This is the case with hip hop in this present time. God has redeemed it and used it for His glory.
Just as Jesus was, I see that Da Truth is controversial and making people uncomfortable with his stance. That's great. He is also, I see, being persecuted for righteousness's sake. That's wonderful too. One thought and I'ma leave y'all alone. We serve a CREATIVE God. He desires to be creative through us..His creation. His resources and methods of doing so are UNLIMITED. God calls us to be "set-apart" (rua kadesh in Hebrew) from the world, not conformed to the image of the world. This hip-hop christianity is NOT any form of "set-apart" it sounds and looks JUST like anything you would hear at a club. Narrow is the path to salvation and eternal life, broad is the road leading to destruction. I'll say it again, we are not to be conformed to the image of this world. The excuse that this is to bring in "the youth" then its wrong.
Holy Hip-Hip artists like the Da Truth and Cross Movement look and sound nothing like their secular counterparts.
Their lyrics are scripturally sound and Holy-Ghost driven.
And as far as I'm aware of, there has never been a "excuse" forthcoming for the viable and potent form of ministry they've unleashed on our fallen world.

If you watch tv then you should know that its an empty wasteland. The news is lies and propaganda on a two hour news show 40 minutes is dedicated to some drunk rock star getting arrested etc. There are very educational shows, the rest is worthless mind numbing crap. Be careful in ur judgments/statements in others. The words says not to judge others, judge sin, yes, judge the person or thing, no. For the way u judge others God will judge u. The word also says not to argue over it. So allow others to have their personal opinions about what the believe. Praying that their eyes will be opened works a lot quicker then arguing our personal interpretation of the word. God/the Holy Spirit is so much better at opening our eyes then we can.

He was actually amazing in his explanation and if you listen to the song, it is extremely educational. I agree that we don't go to church to be entertained but I will also say that it depends on who is preaching, singing or dramatizing the word. If the holy spirit is present, it is not entertainment it is ministry.

This music is of God. These guys are sacrificing money and fame by rapping Gospel. They are putting God first

At first I was skeptical of Christian rap, I always listened to Gospel and
Southern Gospel. Rap is what you make it. It's is not the style that counts but what content it contains. If you think that rap started with satan think again. Look up the old Statesmen Quartet singing "Get Away Jordan". Study before you judge. 20th century hymnal songs started in bars not in Church. Jesus did not sing hymnal songs the same way we do. So because when Jesus said hymnal he wasn't referring to a style.

Yes God will AT TIMES use what it is the greatest voice to speak His Will. But that is just what it is. He's used Donkeys, Homosexuals, Murderers, and etc in the mist of their error to speak His Will. But does that mean we should look to these for God's mind or just be open to God no matter where He is or who He using? Hip Hop origin isn't in the 1970's. That's when it started in US. It began in the islands (Jamaica)..but anyway...DaTruth's rapping is great!

Well Hip Hop's origin from my studies is demonic. But the truth is this; it has influenced this generation. And I can applaud DaTruth's efforts to put THE TRUTH in their ears. And quite frankly, he has a revelaiton of who God is -that most preachers and their churches don't have and it is this, Jesus Christ is God. And if your gifting, revelation, operation, and etc isn't founded [based in] upon this truth then your doctrine cannot be received and shouldn't be received.

It's definitely hip hop! The style the lingo, wordplay, verbage...hip hop! But the focus is directed at bringing folk to Christ and/or testifying of Him! Hip hop doesn't have to be a "bad" thing just as RandB or Bulgarian folk dance music doesn't...even though all genres can be! Music is what you make of it! I don't really get the "secular" tag! We all work in the world so do we all have "secular" jobs? If/as so, why condemn another person for having one?

I guess coming out of the culture of Hip Hop myself, the term doesn't just refer to a genre of music to me, it represents a culture, a lifestyle. So the terms 'Christian' and 'Hip Hop' represent 2 different lifestyles to me.

Good stuff! The "ONLY" thing I would "change" about dudes delivery is the Jay-esqueness (made up word but y'all know what I mean!). Dude is far too bright and even spirit filled to have to ride on Jigga's style! Don't get me wrong, the S dot Carter is nice (BIG was better) but Truth can run with his own flow and kill it (as it were). Still very good stuff content wise!

However, we see redemption all throughout the Bible, God taking sinful cultures and sinful men, redeeming them and using them for His purposes. This is the case with hip hop in this present time. God has redeemed it and used it for His glory.

Just as Jesus was, I see that Da Truth is controversial and making people uncomfortable with his stance. That's great. He is also, I see, being persecuted for righteousness's sake. God calls us to be "set-apart" (rua kadesh in Hebrew) from the world, not conformed to the image of the world. This hip-hop christianity is NOT any form of "set-apart" it sounds and looks JUST like anything you would hear at a club. Narrow is the path to salvation and eternal life, broad is the road leading to destruction. I'll say it again, we are not to be conformed to the image of this world. The excuse that this is to bring in "the youth" then its wrong.

In Ezekiel 28, satan was the leader of the choir in heaven before his beauty/ arrogance got in the way. Music is powerful and souls are dying by the effect of the song I put in my ear. This is God's battle and He has to use what attracts people from every walk of life. If not than we will make God out to be insensitive.

Half right. "He has to use what attracts people..." Wait a minute, God is not in some contest with the devil for souls. You belong to God but its up to you which path you choose. And God is not insensitive but he has rules. He favored Abraham because he "followed my commandments, statutes and laws" it never was an anything goes scenario. And he tells us "be not conformed to the image of this world." That should be clear to anyone. This is worldly, just because he says "Jesus" doesnt make it ok.

I know TRUTH. And he doesn't just perform, living for Christ is a lifestyle of worship and that in itself him a apart from the world's ways of thinking. There are preachers who wear nice suits and know all the church language and say they preach the Gospel, but are a the biggest hypocrites. So my question is do you dislike the contents or the packages that it comes in? So when Jesus did miracles, don't you think that attracted people?

If you watch tv then you should know that its an empty wasteland. The news is lies and propaganda on a two hour news show 40 minutes is dedicated to some drunk rock star getting arrested etc. There are very educational shows, the rest is worthless mind numbing crap. if you have best meaning and purpose in world, and still have a wrong spirit then the song is bad. having beat from sinful and putting good words to it, if its bad its bad, you cant fix it up. God is a creator not a repo man, He doesnt want satans left overs from the music world. come on! if youre new in Christ you shouldnt want to listen to same style of music as the old person would listen to. being new is being new on the inside and effecting the outer man.
