I'm not completely sure when this was made, but it is identical to the last show of theirs I saw, in DC in 1984, the "Going Over To The Other Side" year. I remember being surprised when they did this song, because when I saw them two years earlier, it was very anti-Pistols, no dyed red hair, minimalist showmanship, etc.

This was definitely not done BEFORE 1984. There aren't even any original PiL members there except John himself.

No they're not, they give people the ability to have more control over their life, if circumstances don't go too well. People should have the freedom of choice. Johnny himself said he wasn't making it in anger over her having a abortion, he made it because she was batshit crazy. (she supposedly brought the foetus to a gig) He has actually publicly stated that people should have the freedom of choice over the issue.
