I thought that each Squad was assigned a Haz-Mat "bread truck" because they are part of SOC.

How come Engine 44 has a Haz-Mat unit? Is E-44 in SOC ?

What are the things that this company carries that Haz-Mat One (1) in Queens does not carry?

What is the protocol if Engine 44 gets an ERS Box - will it take the Haz-Mat truck?

If E-44 is on a BS call and there is a REAL Haz-Mat incident, does someone stay back at the house to bring-in the second piece? what do they do in this case?

Haz Mat is short for Hazardous Materials. They come for things like chemical spills, flammable liquids, radioactive, corrosive materials etc are involved in an emergency. They have special suits that they wear and specialized training of handling the situations of the normal firefighters dont

Im from Ireland and so wanted to have my picture taken with guys from engine 44 but never got the chance. NYFD firefighters rule and not a day goes by that i dont think of how brave they were on 911. May there fellow brothers RIP.
