Onboard sounds are slightly better than the Roland module, triggers flimsy and poor response though. Never buy for the 'sound' of an e-kit anyway as not even the TD-20 compares in sound with modern software. Get the best triggers you can afford, ditch the module, build a megadrum or similar midi module and run through a DAW.
where do i find a place to order this from? or at least a price guide i went to the site but it just takes me in circles or to sweden,austria,germany,ect.ect. and when i click on anyof them it just takes me right back to were i started...its pissing me off..
Hi, does the module have a USB input? I think I read somewhere that it does. and 1 more thing. I've seen people on youtube connecting a roland module to the guitar hero module and actually play guitar hero which is cool :) Can this be done with the 2box?
@xdiputsm It can be done by all modules that support midi since there is a midi in on the guitar hero controller. Just make sure to assign the right note values in whatever drum brain you finally choose
I own it , love it and could have used anything on the market. It doesn't compete with Roland-this is the league of it's own,way ahead of Roland.Bengt always was-always will be.Period.
@dalmatian69 I know that I personally haven't played one of these, but they look VERY cheap compared to Roland. The Roland TD-20 SVX is no comparison to this.
One reason alone, is the hardware. The cymbals "stands" just move up and down and look like they are automatically tilted.
The box on the Roland is a thousand times better. If you can think of a drum sound, you can make it, with virtually any reverb you want, right from the box.
The hardware on the Roland is amazing as well. Go play one.
@Markisflippinsweet dude, its not just about drum sounds.... i want to trigger WHATEVER i want. if i chop a sample, of horns or singing or what not... i can't dial that into the td-20. plus the td-20 costs just as much as the drummit and comes with NO kit.
i don't know if this is tops - don't know where to get a chance to play one...but til roland has a kit that lets me play it like an mpc/maschine style...i'm not interested
@gomachols It's easily the most annoying thing about the roland kits. i have their sampling pads SPD-S and SX, but it would be great to go all the way, like this 2box.......looks cool
Do not compare until you have played. Of course also remember this kit is SOLD for 1/3 of the price of the TD20 SVX. Compare this to a ROLAND priced the same like a TD9
I think this kit is tryin to compete with roland HAHA , I would have to say it's doing a fair job....but roland still dominates......I just customized my simmons ekit....preset 50 is what I used to set my own drumkit up , it sounds NICE now!!!...the snare n bass are both really tight sounding now!!! ,I'm happy with that :)
@betatestersrule08 I had a roland and their sound sucks. Even with the latest ones, it sounds like plastic. Drumit Five changes this and I hope Roland wakes up.
Can be purchases in the US from Cymbalism Music.com
