  • same technique but for bow hunting specific try, utube Kentucky bow rope

  • you really are a born teacher! go ahead. greetings from Berne, Switzerland

  • thanks man, just exactly what i was looking for :)

  • keep in mind all that this is not good only for paracord, but for cables too, until now i used to just wind the cables around my fist, pull it off, and set it aside then waste time untangling it, from now on im starting to do it this way :) thanks alot paul.

  • are you in a church?

  • @dannyhendricks50 no he isnt.

  • Nice tip!

  • What is the longest length of paracord that you recommend for this method?

  • Well done. Sound could be a tad improved on...next time :)

KEY is keep the ends out of the nest.

    Thanks for presenting this

    Tom

  • you shouldve seen my paracord before i learned this, it looked like a bowl of tangled spaghetti

  • Very nice.

  • finally something that is fast and actually works

  • Awesome... glad you liked it!

  • great video i have masive amounts of para cord i use this way to store and pack it for everyday use works amazing

  • Thanks! Glad it was a help!

  • Old dog learns new trick. Thanks.

  • i like to tie a bowline in the starting end of the cord and stick it on my pinky finger then start the wrap around like a cleat.

that way you dont have the long piece to deal with when you wrap your bundle.

then all you have to do is pull that knot and it makes that end really easy to see

  • This was exactly what I was looking for! I'll check out more of your videos.

  • Well done my friend, I'll remember that easily. Good video, Vey handy tip, Well presented.

  • Genius.

  • Actually, this is an old Samurai trick. Used in the martial art of Hojo jutsu. It was a way to make cord availible to tie someone up very quick.

  • Wow... that is awesome! I will have to look that up!

  • learned the same knot and coiling method from the ex who learned it from her granny she used this to keep yarn straight. it works great. the figure 8 loops come undone nicely almost every time and the cordage is flat except for the last part where the whole thing is secured.

  • Awesome!

  • How do you do this for VERY long lenths? like 50-100ft? My finger just arent big enough to finish this technique effectively

  • I would use the old "around the elbow" trick... that would probably be best for a longer length... thanks for commenting!

  • @PatriotAr15 I just did 50' with my fingers and I have really small hands...But for any more than that I'd probably go around the elbow.

  • My 550 always gets messed up. This is very useful. Great Vid man.

  • Thanks!

  • thanks, very usefull

  • Glad you liked it!!!

  • very helpful, thank you

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Hey, is parachute cord elastic?

  • No... it is nylon... it does stretch minimally if you have a long length with tension on it but it is much stronger than elastic.

  • Thanx, thats a great trick...where do you get all your tricks from? =)

  • Thank you! I have learned from many different people, picking up tid bits from everyone... but I have also spent a lot of dirt time figuring this stuff out.

  • Nice video. Have been using this technique right after I saw this video a while back. Have never had a problem with it. Well done and thanks for the tip.

  • Sweet! Glad it has been useful for you!
