People should start asking, why try to "fit-in" with an employment system which is quickly becoming redundant. That's why more of us are leaving this sh%^&tstem and finding other ways to be REALLY productive.
3 degrees (one Ivy), and teaching cert and cant even land a job at a quickie mart! HR sees the long term unemployed, despite education and experience, as top criteria to pass someone over.
Thanks for the post here. Oregon has the third highest jobless rate in the nation. It has been two years for me and no job and no one will hire me through no falt of my own. I was in a car wreck. My call center job was outsourced after 26 years of being here. I have a Accounting degree and 18 years of job experience and it means nothing in this town. No one cares here and because I use a walker feel I am a victim of discrimination. Craiglist is a scam and has a bad reputation. I hate Oregon
Well It's about time the Bosses get a dose of they're own medicine and join all the people they once looked down upon and once laid off in the blue collar unemployment line,.....this is the one good thing I see from all of this mess.
Maybe jobs like Subway, Target, Meijer, low-paying manufacturing jobs might be something to check into.
When a good-paying computer job is sent overseas, another good-paying computer job doesn't necessarily start in America. There are not as many good jobs as there used to be here in America. And I do not expect the government, this government, to give a damm or be able/willing to help to ensure the jobs are here.
u are not needed. your living standards are too high. you are too expensive to hire. just go lay down and die. american multi national global corporations do not need you. just lay down and die.
ps. you don't need a stinking resume to land a job. Minimum wage is far better than nothing. I have a fat stack of cash, sweat hard daily, and fight the infowar 8 hours a day.
