It's illegal to record a call without someone's knowledge... and it doesn't count if you tell them AFTER you record it. That's why he hung up on you. You entered into that call with the knowledge that you were being recorded. Now... THAT being said... I'd say you made a mistake telling him you were recording it because I can tell you from working at a call center (not Microsoft, and I'm not going to disclose the company) that he was ECSTATIC when you mentioned you were recording the call.

What was interesting is that after owning the new console for a few months the CD drive started to play up. I then bought a 3rd Xbox, a Limited Edition Elite to be told a couple of weeks later that Microsoft were releasing a new xbox which would be cheaper and redesigned... Finally don't get me started on the fiasco that was the HD-DVD Drive!

I sent my Xbox 360 in for repair back in September. When I finally got it back, within 30 mins it broke. They sent me a busted console! So I called them back and demanded a supervisor, I wasn't even going to listen to the first Indian guy. I waited on the phone for almost 45 mins for supervisor. Surprisingly though the supervisor spoke English and helped me get my console expedited me and even offered a free controller for my trouble.
Their support is very good, well for me.I've called in for a repair order no problem asked me for my contact details, here is your reference number and you will receive your box in a week.
Also i ordered a transfer kit, it took 15 minutes and no problems at all.
i didnt get this crap but after hering this and my call... they where really strait forward. they just sed send it in and they'll send it back... they did send it back and i didnt get this kind of phone call... i think you just got a bad worker... or microsoft hates you... but that guy was bullshit he hangs up just for recording it??? hahah next person yu talk to on microsoft you should tell them to look at this video

I think thier service does often and system durability does indeed suck, but this all this guy did was get harshed on by you. You did not give him a chance to work on your issue. I think he saw the oppourtunity to get your abusive call off and took it. I feel your pain! My 360 still works (thank god) but I wanted to end my subscription to xbox gold membership or w/e. So im checkin my email and it says its been renwed! But get this, they sent it at 1:00 in the morning and they never sent me an email telling me that I have to end by this certain date. In other words i never got a warning. So i call them, give them my info, and i have to pay a fee to end it?! BS i got this mexican man on the phone who doesnt understand sht! (whole thing cant fit)

It took dozens of phone calls, several emails, multiple faxes and 18 months for Microsoft to FINALLY transfer my Xbox 360 content licenses.

UNBELIEVABLE! the guy was telling you that when they change their mind, they wont let you know, and basically keep you waiting, the thing that bothered me the most, is that when you asked him about that, he was quiet and didnt say anything. he was so speechless because he knew that he screwed himself, and he tried to say hello? yeah I couldnt hear you. I am tired of these guys are on the phone with an accent. they record your conversation, but wont let you record theirs. What a tool!

There service is horrible Ive gotten two red rings all ask for is some help and they always find a way to fuck me sideways. I sent in my first xbox never got it back. Went and bought a new one a year later got the red ring after playing street fighter 4 for three fucking days. I call them and ask if they can fix it they say they will for 250 dollars yeah microsoft can go suck a dick.

sent my xbox 4 repair, got it back didn't work, sent it back got repaired didnt work again, and the guy said they hadnt test runned it, so there sending me a new one now, they said i am a very rare case, why can't they just give me a brand new elite in the retail box!

im still buying a 360 to have all three consoles, there are some games i want on it like alan wake and mass effect, i already have a ps3 (which is fucking amazing) and a wii (which is fucking horrible), if my xbox breaks in the future, i will be like "fuck it" and get a refund or replacement at best buy, but ill probably go for the refund though

I sent my Xbox 360 in for repair back in September. When I finally got it back, within 30 mins it broke. They sent me a busted console! So I called them back and demanded a supervisor, I wasn't even going to listen to the first Indian guy. I waited on the phone for almost 45 mins for supervisor. Surprisingly though the supervisor spoke English and helped me get my console expedited me and even offered a free controller for my trouble.

Their support is very good, well for me.I've called in for a repair order no problem asked me for my contact details, here is your reference number and you will receive your box in a week.
Also i ordered a transfer kit, it took 15 minutes and no problems at all.

i didnt get this crap but after hering this and my call... they where really strait forward. they just sed send it in and they'll send it back... they did send it back and i didnt get this kind of phone call... i think you just got a bad worker... or microsoft hates you... but that guy was bullshit he hangs up just for recording it??? hahah next person yu talk to on microsoft you should tell them to look at this video

I think thier service does often and system durability does indeed suck, but this all this guy did was get harshed on by you. You did not give him a chance to work on your issue. I think he saw the oppourtunity to get your abusive call off and took it. You basically informed him you were not going to accept anything he said as the truth and were going to publicly humiliate him. Gee I wonder why he hung up.

We are going through the EXACT same thing!!! It has been a NIGHTMARE trying to get them to just send us a shipping label! We have spent HOURS on the phone and can't even get a shipping label sent to us! I think we should all get together and file a class action law suit. I can't believe my XBOX broke after 6 months and we can't get a straight answer from XBOX on just the shipping label!
