If soldiers don't want to join the army because theres gay soldiers there in service with them, fuck em. I don't care if by result, the army's total size decrease by 10% over 5-10 years. What does this have to do with sexual activity? It's about being openly gay in the military, not about going around having sex in the military. You can be homosexual or heterosexual and still be celibate. Santorum (and others like him) are twisting things, saying that this allows sexual activity within the military - it most certainly doesn't. It wholly disingenuous of Santorum to suggest something like that.
As a serious response, I will say that Europe, for the most part, seems to have successfully integrated homosexuals into all aspects of life. There's no great divide, or list of things we can't do like here (marry, adopt, give blood, etc.). It's a glorious and beautiful example, and I hope we can learn from it.

My youngest brother was gay for the majority of his 23 years before he died of AIDS,he denounced his homosexuality on his death bed stating that he didn't want to go before God as a gay man. That didn't make me love him any more or any less because he was my baby brother and I had the capacity to love him unconditionally. He wasn't a bad person that was trying to become good ,he was a sick person that yearned to be healthy. I'll see him again though so it's all good in the hood .

The hospital staff took so many precautions that they looked like astronauts with their rubber gloves and such,it was me that came everyday to groom my brother and shave his whiskers for the nurses wanted nothing to do with that at all. @isonny2010 I've read the bible in it's entirety, and to say that biblical doctrine is in any way moral is to ignore all the atrocities and only focus on the good. That is the real selective reading. I meditate quite often, but I don't pray because it does nothing. You know how many starving children pray for food? How many rape victims pray for it to stop? We have to rely on each other and ourselves, not God. If God does exist, he's doesn't intervene with us.
