  • I think the problem here is not necessarily because of generation gap. It depends on one's personality. Some people just don't have that urge to socialise with people (especially with complete strangers). I think the key point here is when Hall says the internet is used for information. But if that is used for letting the world know every now and then of what you are doing, it becomes trivial and risky sometimes. I think that's the essence of what Hall and Oates were trying to say.

  • Jenilady, he said Sara was worthy of a great song. How is that minimizing her? For a person who guards his privacy as much as Daryl does, that was saying quite a lot, IMO.

I guess I've got a "generational divide" also (actually, I think it's more of an intellectual one... however, I'm not sure it explains my life on YouTube really... hmmmm. I'll have to ponder that one.
