Why do people dislike Nate and Vanessa? I think it makes perfect sense. Nate is a guy who is practically chained to a way of life he doesn't want. Vanessa is a free spirit -- just what he longs for, which is why he liked Serena in the first place. Only thing is Vanessa doesn't bring the drama like loving Serena does.
