Choosing Sand Scoop for Beach Metal Detecting

no offence, but your students will save time by taking a scoop, scan the hole, if the target is still in the hole, dump the scoop instead of shaking it out. Anytime you can use the detector, instead of your eyes, you will speed up the process

LOL on the comment about burning up calories bending over... I did get a long handled scoop and found that it not only makes it easier on your back, but you can retrieve your targets faster. That makes for a better day of metal detecting with more targets recovered and more goodies found. Happy Hunting!

That longhandle scoop that you showed is an aluminum scoop and not a stainless steel as you claimed in the video.....If you are going to market a DVD you have to be accurate when describing what you are demonstrating....Credibility is everything....inaccuracies like that tends to come back to bite you in the end....I haven't seen the rest of the DVD....but it seems like it was well done....I just hope that the rest of the info is accurate and not the latter....good luck with the DVD!!

@surfdigger According to the RTG site, the scoop I show above has a stainless steel shaft. Here is what it says at the RTG site "The bucket is made with 304 non magnetic stainless steel with either 1/2" or 5/8" holes punched through out the bucket. The handle is also stainless steel. " You can verify this by visiting the RTG site.
