UGH, the voices on the GBA version just KILL it for me!

Though, to be honest, I didn't really like the SNES version, either. I played SMB2 on the original NES, so the new look of the characters really turned me off when I first played it.

SNES version is better IMO. This game didn't convert to widescreen well, and the soccer mom voice at 6:01 is just... facepalm.

Though the flashy text graphics for the GBA are cute.

for what i know the gba has 6 soundchannels wereass 2 are 8bit digital,the other 4 are fm based.

the snes has 8 16bit digital soundchannels.

so snes sound is better.

The GBA version has FM sound like the genesis except voices while the SNES has Wavetable sound so it sounds cleaner.

It's 100% correct, the four main characters weren't made by nintendo, they were mascots for some japanese thing. (Not really sure what, i can't remember at the top of my head.)

its just the sprites for the chars in smb2 were edited from the 1s in ddp

The other one is the Japanese Super Mario Bros 2 or Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels and it uses the same engine as Super Mario Bros using the unused in Super Mario Bros poisoned mushroom.
