The voice sample is taken from a classic dub tune - "Plague of Zombies " - from one of the biggest master of dub music : Scientist . The track is from an album from 1981 called "Scientist Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires". I said this because we really need to know better the origin of modern electronic music. Just give a search on youtube for Scientist - Plague of Zombies to hear the track. Thanks!
@markussvanstell you are right. but the very original of the scientists dub track is /watch?v=w25lOlFHDh4Johnny Osbourne - He Can Surely Turn The Tide
@misterbamboostick you right . the original song is "Turn the tide" by J. Osbourne..but the sample used by Rockers Hi-Fi in "Push Push" is from Scientist- 'Plague Of Zombies' , witch is actually a reworked version of the "Turn the tide".
I used to work in the club, Snobs, in Birmingham, where this tune, to my knowledge, was 'grown'. The ground moved when this came on! Nigel Blunt, DJ Dick and Paul Tustain (RIP) are the guys I remember from that time. Fantastic tune. I NEVER took any drugs but this made me feel like I had! What-a-life!
I bought this back when they were called "Original Rockers". I must upload some Original Rockers/Rockers HiFi. Maybe, Dick From Outta Space, Sexy Selector and The 8th Shade, ALL head-melting tunes by Whittingham & Bush. Thanks for the upload 5/5
What a flucking tune - Birmingham 1991ish, Snobs, Friday & Saturday night, twisted beyond all recognition and a true hands in the air and tingle to the bollocks feeling when they dropped this one. Just hope my kids get to have as much fun as I did. Respectanundo.
Snobs on a Friday night. "What's yer name, where you from, what you had". Sweat dripping off the ceiling. Chain smoking a packet of Marlboro lights whilst chewing your way through a pack of gum. Everyones your mate. Dancing in your own little world yet being as one with everyone around you.
This needs to be heard on a kick ass sound system to fully appreciate its greatness, the bassline takes over you - take my word for it - NYE 1993 Prestwick, Streetrave. peace x
its really really weird hearing people leave comments like this....the reason is, my uncle is richard whittingham, dj dick of....rockers hi-fi! i knew he used to go all over the world and had some videos and some good stuff but i didnt think id see comments like i have been seeing,,,,makes me feel very proud to share my uncles name
Yeah, it's strange how music can travel the world...This video used to be played on cable tv here in Buenos Aires; I love the images of DJ gear and vinyl spinning in the twilight, and the synth reminds me of Inner City smash hit "Big Fun"...
Haven't heard this nor seen the videos since the 90's when it was released (original Rockers)... one of the best tunes ever. THANK YOU so much for posting
smooth, easy-listening track

OMFG I FOUND IT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!!
15 years to be exact, never new the artist or title. Just knew the words "Push Push" on a very old house track! haha now I have you!!
mrmobeus2001 3 years ago 3
It happened to me as well, the same way! About 15 years before I could find it thanks to a forum.
I had this song on a tape recording from a late-night French radio show, never knew what it was.
When I finally found it, I was like... huh... OMG... OMG!!!!! THIS IS IT!!!
Since then I bought the 12" vinyl edition, never leaves my bag when mixing somewhere!
Pure classic.
