What a beauty, it reminds me of my shelty when she was 8 weeks old. She is now 12 years old, and still going strong, as she is a little bit older then my human age, we sleep alot, take walks, and she is still behaving like a puppy, to compare with human age, she is now 64....Se never flopped her ears....Her name is Fiji...She says hello to Peanut, and sends her love

Peanut just turned 3 and we were VERY blessed last weekend...I dropped a pill on the floor and before I could move...she had it...unfortunately what she took turned into acetaminophen in her system which is deadly for dogs...I cried for two days until we knew she was out of the woods! Praise God...she is fine now thanks to emergency workers!

She is a mess...she keeps us laughing all the time! I think my favorite part of this video is when she goes "RAH!" like she knew what I was telling her to do!
Oh, she does know what you're saying to her! They are super-quick to pick up words and whole phrases. And she will tell you her take on the world, too. It's called "Sheltie talk"!
Funny...I know that phrase! LOL! And boy does she talk! She will have a conversation with me! Both the furbabies say: "Ahma" which is their word for Momma! I sat with Zoe for a long time when she was little....saying Momma over and over again...eventually...she did it...Peanut didn't take long at all!
I love having the little pitter patter of sheltie paws around the house. My blue girl won't be bred for about a year or so (after she gets her genetic testing) but I can't wait to have those little barks around the house again.

So it's been very hard to find a suitable mate for her...I was told that we needed to go back at LEAST 3 generations. I have a 4 year old Sheltie, a 5 year old Golden Retriever, and a 1 year old German Shepherd and they both backdown to the Sheltie. She can defend herself so good. It is quite commical watching a little Sheltie beat up two big dogs
Oh how funny is that! They are just little stinkers! My other sheltie Zoe didn't take to kindly to the fact that Peanut is an Alpha Female too...Eventually Zoe gave in...and let Peanut run the castle. Thanks for commenting! :)
LOL. I love how excited you are for Peanut when she finally succeeds in her quest! What a sweet little girl she is. My sister has a little sheltie lady who, at the age Peanut seems to be here, didn't meet a pant leg/hand/solid object she wouldn't attack and bite. She's (mostly) trained out of it by now, and she's such a fun dog, so I've quite grown to love shelties. :) Happy belated birthday, Peanut!
Peanut is such a joy! When we got her...the people told us she "doesn't like to love"...they were so wrong...that is all that sweet little girl does is love! Everytime she looks at you it's like she can see into your soul...every blink of her eye says "I love you so much"...she snuggles, talks, and gives "bump" kisses. (she wouldn't kiss as a baby so I'd grab her nose and kiss it...that is how she thinks kisses are...too sweet) Thanks so much for the sweet comment!
Our other sheltie...Zoe just turned 6...she is a total Princess...where as Peanut is a little tomboy! They make quite a pair! Sisters...non-the-less! LOL!
Actually, I was having "empty nest syndrome" and my husband thought it would be a great idea to get me another sheltie...Well...we looked and looked and finally found an ad for one girl sheltie LEFT! We pounced..the second I saw her..I knew she was meant for me! She is a pistol ball and we love her to pieces! Thanks for the comment!

I'm going to reserve my puppy this next Sunday from a local breeder. I can't wait. I'm getting a girl, a tri coloured one. She is going to be named Akira.

The best thing to do when you go to the breeder is to go with your heart, not your eyes. The breeder we got Peanut from told us she didn't like to be held and she wasn't really loving. I fell in love with her, I knew they were wrong! She lives to show us how much she loves us! She cuddles, gives eskimo kisses....she is a BIG bundle of love in a tiny package!! She is wonderful! I can't wait to see your furbaby...send me a photograph!
Now imagine that times 6. Our litter of puppies would go wild over a toilet paper roll, a sock, a baby rattle, etc. Each one had a different "attack" method.
