mmm... he wasnt really IT he was a minion of IT's they revealed it as being this huge brain at the end of the movie. the movie didnt stick completely w/ the book though unfortunately

They didnt use the man with the red eyes to be it there was still a brain except the man with the red eyes played a larger role.
