I was born aan de Schans in Moerdijk, Noord Brabant...The town reminds me of the town where I was born, love the setting.....but besides that...What an Awesome Flick !! .... Funny, good acting, and disturbing, but all in all, great picture....
hahaha the thing i liked the most in the movie was that about belgium. In th whole movie when Belgium was brought in the conversation all you would listen is : "why anyone whould want to go to belgium? " and stuff liek this! hahahahhaha
I am surprised how good the movie was, I did not expect it. I never liked Colin Farrel, but after this movie I changed my mind. The same was, when I saw O Brother Where Art Thou and started to like George Clooney.
I love how the music was consistently melancholy throughout the whole film, even when they tried to play the story off like it was a comedy. . . the music stayed true to the morose subtext of the film. . . amazing. . . Carter Burwell is an absolutely amazing musician.
This soundtrack just perfectly captures the atmoshpere of a stroll through the narrow medieval streets of Bruges, on a cold winter evening. Unbelievable
great

a part of me thinks that bruges wasnt even real and that it was a 'purgatory-ish' place in which each could rectify what they'd done
