  • Schumacher can keep his 7 World Titles - some real shallow victories amongst those titles... 2002?! A terrible season. The real F1 fans here are in no doubt from witnessing this guy race that no one can compare to him. Call me a "fan boy"? I'm 27 years old! But go ahead... I'd be proud to be a Senna "Fan Boy"! Senna forever!!

  • @westhamfan123 with team orders or not, schumacher would have easily won the title in 2002. yea indy and austria were bull shit races no doubt about that

  • Good times when F1 was "pure driving, pure racing", like Senna said at 1:30

  • @torturebr Spot on

  • Senna merece ser lembrado, hoje e sempre.

  • Some people need reality in their lives.

  • One person needs to be shot!

  • One person needs to not have a youtube account

  • SENNA forever!

  • Does anyone know who is the driver at 1:25?

  • @quillerszasza

    Damon Hill

  • @norafromhungary Hova tűnt Damon Hill? :-D Thanks a lot!

  • @quillerszasza Damon Hill, his teamate and 1996 World Champion

  • what's up with that shoooosh airplane sound?¿? WTF?

  • Senna is and always will be,...in spirit,...the STIG!

  • Senna is and always will be,...in spirit,...the STIG!

  • @manishmpandey Yes, Piquet missed his breaking point bc Senna was dirty deffending his position and squeezed him. That engine Renault built was one of the most powerful turbo engines ever. Senna would have nailed Piquet with the same car? Don't make me laugh... The only time they drove the same car, during a test for Brabham back in 1983, Piquet was 1,3secs faster. Piquet was way more complete than Senna, brighter, more honest and fair. Ron wanted Piquet to join McLaren in 1988. It says a lot.

  • The people who really know say that he IS undoubtedly the Best of all times.

Even Schumacher says so. He was the ultimate racing driver, ruthless and never went for second place, only winning counted.

  • I read somewhere that this movie will be released in the UK/Europe around new year, so in January 2011. Surely we can't wait that long... but we must wait nontheless...

Remember though: Good things come to those who wait. ;)

  • SCHUMACHER IS LIKE A BASTARD

  • Monaco in 1984? Watch Budapest 1986, THAT is racing. Piquet RULED Senna big time. Senna, the biggest farse ever.

  • @vinagre76 The all-dominating Williams 1986 Monster against Senna's Lotus? Please stop - I'm even embarrassed on your behalf.

  • @westhamfan123 All-dominating?!? The difference between Williams and Lotus was like the difference between RBR and Ferrari nowadays, bud. That was pure magic. In addiction, even IF Piquet's car was that better the move would still be amazing, that's all about control. You Senna fan boys make me sick. Argh!

  • @vinagre76 Piquet's move WAS "amazing". Yes. I have thought some stuff Schumacher has done in the past was amazing aswell, even though I personally hate the guy. The difference between us it seems is that I can understand someone else in the world having a different opinion to my own. That's what makes the world interesting, I just think you need to open your mind a little. I can understand if you're not a Senna "fan boy" - I admit that I am. (In my eyes, justifiably so by what the dude did.)

  • @westhamfan123 Nope. I understand Senna was just as great as any other top driver, that's not the point. Why do you hate Schumacher? Senna was just as dirty as him. The real difference here is that Senna loved playing the good guy - and he was not the good guy. As I said, his titles were way easier than Piquet's and Fittipaldi's, just to stick with the other 2 Brazilians. He had supercars in 1988, 1989 and 1990, and in 1991 he drove the best car for half of the season. It's the media's fault.

  • @westhamfan123 In addiction, what would Senna do before 1988, when there were at least 3 teams fighting for the title in amazingly balanced conditions? Cry for the best car? Cos that's what he did. He didn't have the guts to go to Ferrari when they were screwed like Schumacher did. What 'the dude' did is no better than what several other top drivers did. Piquet was a complete driver, fast, inteligent, fair whereas Senna was just extremely fast and professional, that's it. His death made him big.

  • @vinagre76 Actually he was already a legend, long before his death. He might have won his championships easier than others (as you say) but only he and the other F1 legend, Gilles Villeneuve, were REAL racing junkies! They lived for racing, nothing more, nothing less. Do you wonder why Piquet or Fittipaldi or even Prost aren't that popular in the minds of F1 fans as those two? I don't think it's the media, or that they both died while racing. It's because they simply loved doing it.

  • @fe5djl3z It's not about passion. Villeneuve is the most overrated driver ever, even Barrichello is better than him. I never said Senna wasn't great, I truly believe he's one of the greatest but never the best. As I said there's nothing supporting this theory. Schumacher, Clark, Fangio and Prost have better records and Piquet, Stewart, Lauda and many other faced much more competition for the title. It's a simple equation that some people insist in ignoring due to their blind passion.

  • @vinagre76 So, even though you stated that Senna is "the biggest farce ever", you are now saying that you never said he wasn't great?

By the way, it's spelled addition.

  • @zukriuchen Yes, do you know why? Because he was just a driver, not a mutant like some people insist to state. As a driver he was one of the greatest, when I say he was a farse I mean the whole marketing scene that surrounds his image. He was dirty when disputing positions, both deffending and attacking, he crashed into Prost's car, he drove slowly in Monaco in 1986 after getting the fastest lap to make sure he would start in the pole-position... But no, he was the good guy. Come on...

  • @vinagre76 He was a hard man, no doubt about it...... Brilliant driver? Absolutely. Did he play fair? Sometimes. The allure of Ayrton Senna is encapsulated in his brilliance. You don't need to be the fastest to win races, the BEST drivers know this.

  • @zukriuchen In addition... I'm pretty sure my English is better than any other language you might speak other than your mother tongue. Thanks for the lesson though, I appreciate that.

  • @vinagre76 Well, I see what you mean now. I guess you're right about Senna, even though I don't know the whole story.

But, anyway, I wouldn't say that someone who didn't know the difference between 'addiction' and 'addition' can speak English better than I can speak a foreign language. Stop being so arrogant. English IS a foreign language for me, actually. I am Brazilian, as you appear to be.

  • @zukriuchen You were the arrogant one here pointing out the spelling mistake and now presuming I don't know the difference between the two... Anyway, I'm glad you figured out what I meant in the first place. Senna being an awesome driver is not something to be discussed, he was great, no doubt about it. What makes me sick is how these fan boys want him to be better than Clark, Piquet or Schumacher based on nothing but tales. If you base your opinion on facts Senna was 'just' one of the greatest.

  • @vinagre76 Failed troll is a failed troll. Btw learn a bit of grammar. You won't change people's opinion on Senna that easily, btw what you understand about driving if you can't even spell words properly. Get something better to do kid. No one likes trolls that pretend to be smart. You talk with a lot of pedantry, but you don't even know how to talk., so you're just sounding like an idiotic moron trying to not agree with the rest of the world and show yourself smart. Just STFU

  • @PunkLobo Let's put the grammar subject aside, shall we? I speak Portuguese, French and Spanish, English is my 4th language - and I think I'm doing pretty good, thanks. I know about driving because I used to be a pro driver myself back in the 1980's so you are arguing with no kid. I have put arguments on the table to be discussed but you fan boys, who know bananas about the topic, insist in replying with offenses and empty remarks.

  • @PunkLobo Last but not least, go study, mate. Is the majority's view always the right one? Have a think and gimme a real response. Come on, I know you can.

  • Dude, in 1993 Senna raced against Prost, not Mansell... YOU don't make me laugh! That's how much his fans know about racing... Yes, Senna raced lots of guys but how many of them had equipment to fight him? No more than one at each time. Face it, Senna was pathetic if compared to those guys who actually raced during golden years. Senna is the fakest myth ever.

  • @vinagre76 If you hate senna so much then why are you in here viewing this go away go judge someone else

  • simply the best =.)

  • @nauerx2 the one who thumbs down this video must be a Schum-fan

  • The praise doesn't come much higher than this:

"Of all the pretenders who have come after my five World Championships I felt only he had what it takes." -- Juan Manuel Fangio shortly after Senna's death.

Fangio was also impressed with Senna's humility to go to Argentina and ask 'the Maestro' how to win many championships. No one else had ever asked him.

  • até hoje ainda surge um nó na garganta quando eu lembro do dia da morte desse ídolo

  • Senna eterno, um exemplo para todos os brasileiros.

  • Senna was no better? Watch the race at Monaco in 1984 or Europe 1993 to take his conclusions. Senna was superior to other drivers, had something more. When you say he was champion with a better car, I talk about 1991. To prove what I say, I suggest one other rider who has more wins than he tracks a street, where the pilot should have more skills to not collide against the walls. Senna was the best!

  • Furthermore, 80% of these people who say he was the best never even saw him race. Wikipedia, Youtube and Google fans. Senna was one of the greatest but never the best. Far from that actually. Swallow that.

  • Senna never faced more than one driver in equal or similar conditions for the championships, unlike Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Fittipaldi, Lauda, Piquet, Prost and some others who had to work their bullocks off to beat 3, 4, sometimes 5 oponents. He won 3 tiltles with the best equipment. He was dirty when overtaking or defending positions, even worse than Schumacher. He only wanted to seat his arse in the best car and was never able to enhance a package. He said he saw God himself. Best? Yeah right

  • @vinagre76

Your opinion makes me laugh. Senna had contemporaries like Prost, Mansell, Piquet and Lauda to name a few. Where do you get off making your claims he never faced more than one driver for his Championships?

His 1993 season was remarkable in a car that was CLEARLY inferior to Mansell's Williams.

His talent is beyond your comprehension.

And, yes, I saw him race in Detroit 1986. That's where he had a flat tire in his Lotus-Renault and still won against better cars & capable drivers.

  • When it will be show ? It will be on the cinemas ?

  • Melhor de todos os tempos...

Da epoca em que o dinheiro não falava tão alto!

    Fica com Deus Senna.

  • He really owned a HUGE set of balls between his legs!

Only one came close, was Mansell, period.

  • Senna Eterno!

  • I'll never forget him

  • He is one of the best drivers ever.

  • can't wait for this. should be good

    what's the name of the song @ 0:23 ?

  • Can't wait for watching it!

    Senna=LEGEND!

  • He had exactly the same temperament as Schumacher has today. People treat Schumacher like a dirty bastard and Senna like a god? Talking about double standards...

  • @friskoooo I don't know that I'd agree Schummi has the same temperament today. Ayrton was impulsive, brash, emotional and, yes, a bit argy-bargy early on. As he matured he became better on all levels and it's a shame we'll never know how much he would have accomplished.

  • @friskoooo Schumacher is a dirty bastard !

  • @SSRacingUK - YES...

  • Comment removed

  • Nunca haverá outro piloto como ele, NUNCA!

  • :46, that is not him that is Rubens Barrichello during the weekend that he died.......

But anyways, it looks like one of those movies that you see fifteen times in the movie theater, then another thirty times at home.

  • _Who can please put the subtitles to what they say in French and Japanese on the video? I want to know what Balestre was saying before, erm, saying "That decision is my decision".

  • FIA should tell us what really happened in Imola. Cause the truth is well hidden, a colossal cover up - and those whose blame killed ayrton, are still walking free. Ayrton we miss you...

  • @Ferariiman you're a twit with an overactive imagination!

  • @thenewmontoya If you send me a copy of the missing seconds from Ayrton's onboard cam in imola, and I will agree with you. Until then, learn not to believe everything they tell you (especially from FIA scumbags)

  • @Ferariiman What are you talking about, what happened at Imola '94 is well documented. Senna had asked for his steering column to be adjusted. It had to be cut and welded, which was common practice at the time. The steering column sheered during the race and he hit a concrete wall. There was full investigation by the FIA and the Italian authorities, in fact accidental death can be considered to be manslaughter under Italian law and the Williams team were nearly tried in a criminal court.

  • @Speedwell68 they WERE tried, and not just once, for manslaughter but acquitted...

  • I would pay both to see it @ the movie theater and the bluray version...

  • Legends never die.

  • I hope it comes out on Bluray. It would be so worth it.

  • @infringementMAN why bother with bluray? all the original material was filmed in super8/vhs/crappy vga quality.

  • @quelium - It's a modern world! They can remaster it or something. I'm cool with digital enhancing as long as they don't overdo it. I just want it in the highest quality possible.

  • @infringementMAN i hear you, and i'm with you - love a good remaster, but there is something good about that grainy colour saturated 80s footage - reminds me of a time gone by.

  • can't w8

  • Release date please?

  • senna forever!

  • Senna Rocks

  • SENNA RULES!!

  • will they classify that as a movie or a documentary??? will it be worthy of an Oscar nomination possibly, given working title's excellent bodies of work???

  • @kuyaalx0310 from the trailer it was edited with a lot of theatrical impact that doesn't require acting but real-life drama ...

  • Awesome! Can't wait!

  • 1:06 to 1:14. what happened?

  • @jonathan102 Frenchman Jean-Marie Balestre was FISA president and disqualified Senna in Suzuka after the race (and after a stunning recover from crash with Prost) claiming he cut the chicane, so Prost was given the WDC.

  • @neilton32 then ... McLaren appealed, Prost got annoyed that his own team were trying to take away, in effect, their own WC in favour of the other guy, Senna accused Balestre of rigging the championship to favour a Frenchman, refused to apologise, resulting in Balestre not issuing his super licence, Senna eventually half heartedly does apologise, gets his race licence back and 1990 gets underway..hth

  • That first shot... the best one I've ever seen.

  • where can i buy???? where and when can i watch?? PLEASE I NEED URGENT ANSWER!!!

  • @MotorsportUK2009 It's coming out later this year.

  • Here in Brazil, we don't have yet a single news from this movie. Thank you pirate bay!

  • @rgmatos2 wow! seems like the japanese love your idol just as much as you do! great movie in prospect!! :D

  • his lap time at Monte Carlo was staggering.

  • Supoib!! Sadly missed, so bring it on!!

  • I can't wait to see my dearest driver grace the screens:hope they'll show every side of his character and media persona though :D

  • @principedellacollina wen is it coming???

  • @5AMM0608

Comes out on Oct. 8th in Japan, arguably next in other countries, but no known dates that I know of, hoping for more info soon.

  • This is gonna be a truly great movie, no doubt about that...

  • Ill keep getting shot down for saying it, but Senna is only classed as so great because he died. It would have been brilliant to see him beating the sh*t out of schumacher, especially if he did the move on Hill to senna, senna wouldnt think twice about giving him a broken nose, like when he smacked irvine.

Only problem is, he was brilliant but he was also a very dangerous driver.

  • @alucardv2 Not by me you won't. He was a great driver but also utterly ruthless, something that Schumacher learned from.

  • Some of the footage looks so good I could almost believe it was taken yesterday...

  • The G.O.A.T.

    Nothing else.

  • Ayrton's simply the best!

  • Simply the best!

  • FUCKIN' FANTASTIC!!! MY LORD! I NEED TO WATCH THIS MOVIE!

  • 0 dislikes. This shows how Senna was trully amazing. Such an inspiration!

  • will this be shown in cineworld

  • it seems to me the Japanese always do a good job at documentaries

  • The first 14 seconds are simply amazing - they send shivers down my spine!

  • A lot of people say he was better than Michael.

  • @mulcajbm yes, yes he was, for so many reasons... I remember his death like it was yesterday... this film will be an emotional experience for those that have all too painful memories of that day in May... but also for his banzai qualifying, his sometimes optimistic overtaking, his press conferences, his throttle style, his eyes... I met him as a kid, it's a memory, and some photos, I will treasure forever.

  • @mulcajbm There's nothing to say... he IS better than anyone who ever raced!

  • @gabriels2v8 hmmmmmm.... debatable, Jimmy Clark comes to mind

  • @ougal84 Senna: Wins 41 Podiums 80 Career points 610 (614)[1] Pole positions 65 Fastest laps 19 Clark: Wins 25 Podiums 32 Career points 255 (274)[1] Pole positions 33 Fastest laps 28 I know that comparing stats does not mean much but is just shows Senna was flawless! i took the data from wikipedia in case you're wondering.
  • @gabriels2v8 OK, Clark won nearly 2 GP in 3 during is career, not withstanding the reliability problems of the day, when he finished he finished first - he only ever came 2nd once. He won the Belgian GP in 67 by 5 mins (by the way that's 8 miles), the Indy 500 by 2 laps, check out Monza 67... other drivers considered themselves "also rans" from the moment they lined up on the grid...I loved Senna to bits, but Clark... well... check the results for the BTCC 1964

  • @ougal84 apologies make tha 1 GP in 3... a third

  • @ougal84 Well, i definetely got to check into this Jimmy Clark, i must say I don't know much about him! Only then i could make my mind. Love knowing more and more about racing!

  • @gabriels2v8 he was astonshing... PM me and I'll send you the blog post I wrore recently about him

  • @mulcajbm that is nothing but the TRUTH.

  • @mulcajbm

He was and even Michael S. admits it to this day.

  • @mulcajbm - He was. RIP SENNA!!!

  • @mulcajbm even michael said it.

  • @mulcajbm Michael Jackson sucks at F1 driving, everybody's supposed to know this.

  • I miss you, Ayrton! ='(

  • I hope they have the onboard footage of the moment he wins the 1991 Brazillian GP, when he screams unintelligibly at the top of his lungs for a full 3 minutes.

Such a contrast to people like Jenson Button saying "yeah baby it feels so good" after a win.

  • @gold333 Yeah, that's why it was so great to hear Webber's radio when he won in Germany last year. JB wastes his breath, and only seems to win if:

    A: It rains.

B: He has a car significiantly better than anyone else's.

  • Now this is a worthy documentary to watch in cinemas. :) I am amazed on his racing life. Too bad I was a young boy back then when he died as I began to like F1 by the time I was 12

  • number 1 of all times!!!

  • Simply THE best! In a time where emotions were the main driver in F1 competitions. When the machines were not that crucial, as they are today.

  • Up in racing heaven, Senna's probably looking down on us and taking the piss out of all the other immortals.

"Hey Fangio, they're making a film about me. When are they going to make a film about you? lol"

  • @MrSockery Actually, there are already at least two. Hugh Hudson made a documentary about him back in the 70s, and in the late 90s there was an Argentinian film about when he was kidnapped at the Cuban GP.

  • That is racing in it's true form, in it's true awesomeness!

  • mais que um ídolo, um herói.

estou que nem tarado querendo assistir isso!
