I think what they mean is that the kids can't watch TV at any time they choose. The Duggars watch educational and Christian films.

I believe you misunderstood them because she teaches them via homeschool, they regularly take state mandated tests to make sure they are on track with others in their age groups. They constantly take their children on mission trips and feild trips to promote education.

Personally, I believe if your children don't watch hours of TV a day, you are promoting higher levels of education then those parents who place their children infront of TVs as electronic baby sitters, though

@Sarah99ification depends on what you let your kids watch on tv. There are plenty of educational tv shows. Anything on the history or discovery channel is great. Most kid shows teach numbers letters and good morals...and a lot even teach kids different languages now. Certainly more educational than bible study 5 times a day lol

Especially after I heard JB and Michelle say they don't let their kids play video games, also said they don't let them watch TV. that they don't watch it. But they know all about Nadya. Hum...

@buzzybeeable yep. Little boys will make guns out of crackers or sticks if they don't have the toys anyway. Playing with toy guns lets boys think out important psychological themes that they're thinking about anyway & they can include positive themes, like loyal soldier buddy, caring paramedic, etc, whereas many violent shooting videogames mostly give the feeling of hunting people down and using humans as targets.

@Revelation7912 Respectfully may i ask how do you mean caring paramedic if they role play with guns? i thought you would be interested (as your user name is Revelation) that God will destroy all weapons in the future and doesn't support violence even in role play.
