I've never heard it suggested that there might have been 2 assassins in Dealy Plaza that day who were both acting independently of one another. One was Oswald who was caught, the other(s), forever unknown, who got clean away. Since they were not part of a plot together, there was no way to link them yet, multiple shots from different areas seemed to suggest a conspiracy.

This was the car Vice Pres. Johnson and his wife were riding in. The roses were given to Lady Bird Johnson. She abandoned them there after arriving at the hospital.

She tried to stay by his side from the time he was shot to when the doctor's declared him officially dead. She didn't want to leave his body at all. She was outside the Trauma Room at one time but pushed her way past the nurse. To be with her husband. Pulled the white sheet from his face. The rest in the book(s).
