here in sweden all the farmers over 70 cows have robots. u get 20% more milk that way and there is much less labour. and the cows are much more healthier. we begun having the robots in the late 80s.
I think that its great that you guys are using the Astronaut in NZ. Its the way of the future! How many MS do you do per cow using this system? Broacher came in the mail today from Lely with pictures of your Robots! Cheers Jeff
svp de contacter Lely Canda pour plus de information, on a deja plusieurs ans d'experience en Ontario et Quebec. Le climat canadien requise un compromis entre étable et de pâturage en dehors
250 cows, cow flow with 100% grazing is excellent based on good parture management and offering a fresh break at regular intervals (after passing a selection gate deciding ready for the milking robot / not ready to be milked) The selection gate can return the cow to the same paddock or to the fresh paddock depending on several criteria.
@Millroader milking up to 320 cows, Cow flow is easy with Lely ABC grazing pattern. Hardly any cows to be fetched and very easy to find because they will be the last ones remaining in a break.

bowdenbolts 2 years ago
@bowdenbolts At the moment 300-320 cows are being milked, at some stage more cows will mean less milkings per cow per day.

How do you program the Grazeway ? thx !
irtimid321 2 years ago
The Grazeway is contolled by the Lely Management program T4C. I'm sure your local Lely Center in Belgium can tell you all about it.

That is awesome! How many cows do you guys milk? Do you have any problems with cow flow (cows not going back to the robots)?
