if you don't think it's country then don't listen to it...its up to your own opinion on how you see this song. it has all the classic country elements and the story behind the lyrics like most country songs have. all country artists write about something they care about whether its love, their hometown or their dog, the songs always have a story, unlike a lot of pop songs. so just because they have a bit of the pop sound, it doesn't make them any less country.
