It's a stupid question but.. I'm vegetarian and i would like to know from where did you take your proteins? I know seeds, but which are the best i mean: the best product fulled with proteins. Thanks :)
ok... im going vegan now... you guys are amazing... i need to know how i start.. how many reps of what exercise? and what are some good foods that i could start with.. I am in college so i am in a tight budget right now.
Im a vegan woman.. I need a vegan man..... Where are all the vegan men...... I think Im in love.... One and a half years Ive been single... Turning down all the meat men... Because lets face it... No way am I leting them put meat or cheese in my fridge... No way... So I am still waiting.... Forever waiting for my vegan prince.....
I just decided im going vegan for a while just to try it. Been doing bodyweight exercises for one year, think i put on 4~5 kgs of muscle, currently 60~61.2 kg, 1.71 cm, think im at 10~12% BF. Lets see if i can still have gains and lose some fat. I need lots of energy for college, work out...
@maikson2 Go low fat, high carb diet.. either McDougall style or 80 10 10. If you want to gain weight, add in a little bit more fat, such as beans. I prefer going carbs all the way though. I have just started and I was overweight, I have lost close to 40 kg now and my energy level is sick.. I exercised for 4 hours yesterday after being to work and even during work, in 34 degrees.. :) Table tennis, calisthenics and basketball. So just eat more than 3000 calories a day for males. 2500 for females.
@maikson2 Keep it up bro, it will be so worth it after a while! :) And keep coming back to these vids to get inspired. Study the diet and eat a lot of fruit! :D
@Mekelsior I always come to this video for inspiration. That bald guy has an amazing physique and do awesome stuff in the bar. One day, i hope i can do at least half of this "stunts".
Now been a Vegan for 4 weeks, In that time my bodyfat has dropped from 20.1% to 16.3%, My lifts are right up, My energy levels are high, I just wish i had realised this when i started lifting 3 years ago!
I'm detoxing like crazy, can't stay up for more than 2 hours. All I do is eat, pee, sleep, pee, eat some more, pee, sleep, pee and so on. But i'm feeling better. Let's hope this madness ends soon.
Damn, I wish my milk had 300 calories lol, would help my skinny ass put on weight a lot quicker. If you haven't figured it out, I'm not a vegan, just an aspiring calisthenics guy. I try to stick to a mostly vegetarian diet and limit meat, but I'm sorta limited in what foods I can eat at the moment.
Eskimos eat seals (no fruits, no veggies, no oats) So why are they so healthy when all they consume is high fatty cholesterol? Oh I know controlled sugar levels...why does vegan diet work? Oh I know controlled sugar levels! Genetic Metabolic Typing is most natural take it back to the farm and you be in good shape...oh shit there are none left! Sorry for the ramble this video both pumped me up to hit bar and ramble about dieting. Great video!
Great strength! I would like to say in agreement that your diet is very important, but there is nothing wrong with eating meat and natural animal fats. In fact there is 0 real evidence of fat and animal protein sources contributing to obesity. Try being a vegan in a survival situation and quickly yo will figure out where high density nutrition lies (bambie). Obesity and health problems are caused by processed sugar and heavy starch.
@handlan most of vegans doing it for ethic reasons....if u are fine with sacrifice of animals its ok !!!!...im 36 years old been vegan for about 3 and believe me its complete changed my life..wish i know all this when in my 20's...take care!!
OK, I'm hooked... What do I need to do? Where do I start? I mean, if I tried to do the stuff you guys do in this video, I would probably break something in my body. Where to start? And, can I have a tiny tiny amount of milk each day? Can't eat my oats without milk :(
@smoothMousePad Try using almond milk instead. It tastes really good. Also you start by getting good at the basics. Push-ups, dips, pull ups, crunches, etc. Master those then you can move on :)
@McBoneRapz "its not hurting the cows?" - DUDE, yeh it is!! pm me if you want some links! besides that cows milk is bad for YOU! very bad. let me ask you this, if cow milk/cheese where good for you, if it builds strong teeth and bones, why are rates of osteoporosis, (bone degeneration) higher in countries that consume the most dairy?? - think about it fella! pm if you'd like some links, to! :)
The countries that drink most diary products are also the countries with longest winters and shortest summers, which can lead to a vitamin D deficiency.
@Lockeline Strange huh.. that even though they do drink milk, they still get the deficiency... you know.. if you take 10 min solarium 3x a week, you would take care of that. But as we all know.. milk is super healthy and the sun is super dangerous!. The Vit D in milk, is anyway an additive, it is not there naturally as far as I know. :) I'm from Norway by the way, the numero uno milk drinkers in the world, and we have the highest case of bone fractures... weird huh? :)
@Mekelsior Well I don't think most milk products contain Vitamin D. It's also a fat soluble vitamin, so even if they have added it into some products the doses is probably so low that it won't counter act the lack of sunlight. I've heard that milk can damage your intestines thought, mostly because of lactose intolerance. Kinda weird how someone continue to produce lactase after childhood while others don't.
@Lockeline Agreed, most milk products are fortified.. just get some sunshine.. if there is none, go take some solarium.. 10 min 3x a week should be sufficient. Just don't get burned, and don't use sunblock. People continue to produce lactase because they are not yet weaned. :)
i ask everywhere and don't get the answer im looking for so hoping you can help me , i want to do this , how do i go about setting it all up in to a workout , how often , how long for, and how many exercises sets reps etc, do you do push say Monday and pull say Friday , with legs Wednesday ? i don't know , but appreciate the help , you guys are in epic shape !.
@nashmedina Very cool. I'm always looking for new parks to get a good work out in. Other than trails for running though, not a lot of them have any space for any actual exercises.
wow you guys completely copied the group of black guys from new york. i hate imitators. . You guys are doing the exact same thing except you say vegan calisthenics instead of street calisthenics. Black man is always imitated never duplicated.
@ewansiha Notice when you look at Calisthenics Kingz and others on youtube that black and white guys are training together? Way to try and turn something innocuous into a race war.
Awww inspiring. There I was thinking I was I was a pretty fit vegan. You guys are mechanical monkeys. A beautiful reminder that eating animals is wrong and uneccesary and I'm gona get back down the park until I can lob myself round like you guys. Beautiful stuff.
Vision should be perfect. Humans should be extremely efficient and not have to consume huge amounts of food. The state which the general populace is in, demands for consuming larger amounts of food b/c every 'body' is sub-par and needs to grow and build in order to achieve its full biological blueprint. Very few humans understand what a healthy body looks like. It's like hordes of domesticated dogs looking to other domesticated dogs for validity. All domesticated dogs stem from the Grey Wolf...
We're so far from recognizing what the optimal human form is. Humans should not have to work-out ever in order to maintain muscle from birth to death. All teeth should accommodate the jaw & gums including wisdom teeth. Gums should be full & fleshy. Teeth should stay full white. The skin should have closed pores & constant shine. Hair should be isolated to the scalp, eyebrows & face (mustache or beard in men depending on ethnicity). No body hair. There should never be receding hairline/balding.
Your videos are amazing. Exactly the kind of rebranding the Vegan lifestyle needs. Skinny hippies out (sorry), athletic vegans in. This is a really cool way of getting people's attention, motivating them and challenging some stereotypes. You guys are leading by example, with some serious skills and results. Keep it up! Thanks.
Thats the not point my friend. The point is one can obtain the COMPLETE chain of amino acids by combining foods. The list is a long one but here is some examples. Broccoli and rice. Beans and leefy greens.
Nuts and wheat etc. etc. etc...
There are SOOO many foods with protein that it is impossible to be "protein deficient" Unless you only ate once or twice a day and each sitting you had,say only rice to eat, in otherwise STARVING to death .
@MrSkippydoodle Only the very Very ignorant would think soy is the only source of protein, have you every attended a high school biology class? wow....
@Gnoomix Vegetarian = eating no products with parts of dead animals (no meat, no fish, no cheese with lab ferment from calves, etc.but drinking milk, eating eggs etc), VEGAN = using no products from animals at all (no eggs, no meat, no fish, no milk, no leather, no wool etc.)
This is the best video of calisthenic exercises I have seen on youtube. The level these guys have reached is completely amazing.
I don't see any reason to doubt they're vegans, there are elite professional athletes who are also vegans, from runners to boxers and fisiculturists, even though most people have strong convictions that a meatless diet can't made an good athlete, many people are proving it to be wrong every day.
Greetings from Brazil, hope to see more videos of you =)
@MrSkippydoodle I am one of the guys in the video. And I am proof you can be strong and build muscle on a vegan diet. Do some research and you will see that it is possible. Some of the strongest guys I know are vegan.
Hey nice vid! , I am currently exploring a vegan diet , but i haven't decided yet which theory on the amount of protein i will follow:) , So i'd like to know how much protein you take daily , and if you use (protein) supplements?
@nashmedina After reading the comments on here I commend you for keeping your patience and snooty remarks to yourself. A lot of people are misinformed about protein, but some of it is just down right funny. Soy only source of decent protein? You are an inspiration to me. The Dead Prez just turned me on to these videos. Respect from Vancouver, Canada.
@BIGPN35Some of our protein sources on my vegan diet: Hummus, brown rice, quinoa, almonds, sun flower seeds, pumpkin seeds, tofu, beans, black beans, lentils, spinach, almond butter, peanut butter, cashew butter, soy milk, boca burgers, nutritional yeast, many others.
Great video! Thanks! Where can I get the picture of a cow seen between 16th sec and 20th second in this video??? Could you post it somewhere, I'd love to share this picture!
Oh wow, great video!! You're absolutely hot, guys!!! I'm vegan, too, and I'm going to use your clip as a proof that vegans can be strong :) I also love the music. Could you please tell me the names of the songs?? Thanks!! Love from Germany, Kat xx
@Katzottel Thanks for watching friend! :) Yes you can really strong on a Vegan diet! We are proof. Name of the song is New born by muse......it's a remix I found on soundcloud ;)
The more real food you eat, the better! Here's some examples of food that gives you energy!
Eating nuts and fruits together increases more energy! Fats and sugars goes well together. Mixing Chia seeds with coconut oil in a smoothie also creates very high energy! This is a bad combination of food- Protein with fats...because eating them with fat causes them to stay longer in your stomach and use more energy for digestion which will make you feel tired due to your body working hard
thank you to all for the kind words. We're definately gonna do more vids. I am now 100% RAW VEGAN. I do it for health, spirituality, fitness potential, and to be kind to animals. I recommend everyone watch Earthlings. Its free here on the tube and narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. I want people to know that eating animals is a choice, not a necessity. The 2 healthiest foods on the planet are blue-green algae and sprouts. I respect all people and their decision. NATURAL MOVEMENT/BEAUTIFUL STRENGTH.
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? All this from vegetables!!!!!!!!!!!!! god DAMN Savages!!!!!!!! Crazy levels of Inspirations!!!!! Post more vids fellas!!!!! Frank that one armed pullup looked sick!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you don't take this the wrong way, but as a black man and aspiring fitness professional, I'm glad to see some more white guys hittin' the bar. People look at Calisthenic Kingz, Bartendas, Hannibal and other guys and assume they can do all the bar work because "black people have the genetics," which is nonsense, because there guys and gals of many races, meateaters and vegans who can do this. It's possible and available for everybody, thanks for showing that to be true.
I want to do this but I am not athletic at all and need to lose weight. :( Where to start??? *sigh*

@MrSkippydoodle I am one of the guys in the video. And I am proof you can be strong and build muscle on a vegan diet. Do some research and you will see that it is possible. Some of the strongest guys I know are vegan.

@nashmedina
Hey nice vid! , I am currently exploring a vegan diet , but i haven't decided yet which theory on the amount of protein i will follow:) , So i'd like to know how much protein you take daily , and if you use (protein) supplements?
Osu!

@nashmedina Patrik Baboumian, who hold the title of Germany's strongest man have been a vegetarian for 7 years I think and he's now a vegan.

@nashmedina That's what they did first?

@nashmedina yeh its possible, but with the same amount of effort and work but with a non-vegan diet the results you will see are far greater.

@MrSkippydoodle Yes we are Vegans. And soy is not our only source of protein.
nashmedina 3 months ago 6
@nashmedina After reading the comments on here I commend you for keeping your patience and snooty remarks to yourself. A lot of people are misinformed about protein, but some of it is just down right funny. Soy only source of decent protein? You are an inspiration to me. The Dead Prez just turned me on to these videos. Respect from Vancouver, Canada.
marleybob52 3 months ago
@nashmedina OK, so tell us what are some of your other protein sources.
BIGPN35 3 months ago
@BIGPN35Some of our protein sources on my vegan diet: Hummus, brown rice, quinoa, almonds, sun flower seeds, pumpkin seeds, tofu, beans, black beans, lentils, spinach, almond butter, peanut butter, cashew butter, soy milk, boca burgers, nutritional yeast, many others.

@nashmedina Thanks for the response!
BIGPN35 3 months ago
@BIGPN35 LOL all plant foods contain protein and enough protein. The average westerner eats way too much protein. You need to do a little research.

Can someone please direct me to a good workout routine using bars and bodyweight only...I'm not a "Beginner"...but also NOT Advanced.
What would be a REALLY good workout to make MAJOR Muscle gains for a big chest, shoulders, lats, biceps and triceps.
Thank You
