I always liked Tootie & Natalie's friendship..even though they were from different backgrounds, they never judged and accepted each other as they are.
I hate how on most televisions shows, the topic of race and differece always conviently comes up in the plot line of the character who is black/ of colour. they ALWAYS did it with tootie on the show. Do white t.v characters like Sinefield and the cast of friends dnot have to deal with race? EVERYONE in our society does, t.v shows never portray/ adress the issue of race(not racsim)but simply race from the perspective of a white character
I do not completely agree with what you are saying. Let us look at the "Seinfeld" episode in which an American Indian woman was very insulted by the presence of a wooden Indian that came from a cigar store. Later in the episode she made a big fuss about Jerry saying that he would make "reservations" at a resturant! There was also the occasional mention of Jerry being Jewish and stereo types about that.
I can truely understand where you are coming from! I was very proud of Tootie when she said "they can't dance! Man is that the pot calling the kettle black"! I was quite disappointed when she ended up saying "I'm going to win with Carl, but I'm going to celebrate with you." I thought that really defeated the purpose of the situation!
That might not be the case. If you will notice, by the end of it, he started to lighten up a little bit. He even came to terms that the reality that maybe dancing is not one of his stong points! Who knows, maybe he would eventually accpeted that maybe Jo, Natalie and Blair were not that bad after all.
Tootie clapped and then pointed to the ceiling like John Travolta. No wonder she was a shoe-in for the dance contest. Great moves Tootie! I think "Dancing with the Stars" is calling you.
What I think is wrong with the black dude is that he is about three times as arrogant and over-confident as Blair ever was and she usually wins the prize!
OMG THE BLACK GUY IS BUBBA FROM DIFF'RENT STROKES WILLIS'S BEST FRIEND, (or James -willis's rival- i can never tell them apart, they have an uncanny resemblance)
He sort of came to terms with it at the end. When Tootie said that she is going to win with Carl but that she is going to celebrate with him, Fred looked at that as a resonable compromise.
GET REAL comments like "honkey" were because of they were discriminated against. has NOTHING to do with politicians. You know who the president is NOW? That proves that we accept Black people & Most black people know that & any black racism that was around has diminished hugely thanks to MOST people in America Black & white

@Smartboy8877 I forgot about that line. I bet they didn't celebrate for long! He would've wanted her to drop Jo, Natalie, and Blair.
