This is great. I wish these people that want a CFR member as their president would actually READ the Patriot Act. "National Service" is just a new name for a FORCED DRAFT and it is going to include everyone ages 18 to 42. Ron Paul is the only one running who seems to realize that we have a Republic and how it is supposed to work.

in a country where the people are "free" we should be able to have enough control over our lives to choose whether it is in our (the individual's) best interest to serve in the military.
we should have control over our lives. and if a war really does have the support of the people, we wouldn't have a problem garnering enough support to fight it.
The Jefferson Quote becuase everyone is shouting that our forefathers were geniouses these days. Just thought his words would help you understand that China is so powerful becuase their men are all soldiers. Each and every last one of them. They are enlisted in the service, thefore never have to go. Jefferson also said that the less we use our pwoer, the more it will be resepected. With everyone enlisted, the whole country, we would never have to fight.
your conclusion that mandatory military service will result in zero military action needs to be explained. What are you basing this on?, please take me through your thought process. I does not sound logical at first glance, and i need more insight.
My idea is that of our current think tank input -the CFR, so if you associate this organization with conspircal thought you may disagree with me but - the only nation in the world that has a standing army of every male never has to fight. In fact, no one even thinks of approaching them. No one would ever. There is no unrest with China becuase people understand, you cannot win -do not try. With America, the wekaer our military gets, the less we win - the more they try.

How many nations would be crazy enough to fight America--this is because of the second amendment: not a conscript army.
If you think a conscript army deters war you'd be wise to go to a country that has one.
