For those that say it does not work...

On the left side, there bill be a list of things that are on your i-pod.

Click the last one in the list called File system. From there, click media and then the File-controll file or whatever it is called (from there follow the tutorial)

For those of you who get different windows, or getting the message to pay, you are not following instructions. I clicked on something else at first and thought I had to pay too. If you listen to what Prabs95 is telling you, you can figure it out, even if you DiskAid appears different than his.

This was very helpful. I downloaded DiskAid, but my window did not look the same as your. However, with some common sense and your instructions, it was a successful endeavor. This is easier than iphonebrowser.

@iloveparc I'm copying it fine. You have to go to the root file and copy there, you can't copy the music directly. The music won't have the original name, but you can listen to the media files individually and re-name them. That's what I had to do anyways.

Well..definitely a lot of anguish, but it seems to have worked finally. I think about 20 songs are missing, but that's a lot better than losing all of them in case of having to do a restore in future.

Does anyone know if this allows you to transfer your Memos from your iPhone, and transfer to a computer? If so, does it retain any name or size info, and allow you to drag and drop the Memos to a disk to burn?

It sounds like good software, but I have a situation where I need to take the Memos off the iPhone to send to someone. Files are too big to email from the Memo application.

yea. since you bought it from itunes on your ipod. on your computer sign in and then go over to purchases and then re-download em all. because they belong to you
