Unbelieveable! Until today i've heard all the early recordings. Now i know that i need to have all of Charlie Rich. He was one of the best talented musicians who ever had entered a recording studio on this planet!

Charlie Rich is one of my musical heroes. You know, Sam Phillips found Charlie to be one of the most intriguing artists to him, because he never truly found a way to harness all of Charlie Rich's incredible talents. For Sam Phillips to say that, you knew that Charlie was exceptional. Thanks for posting this incredibly moving song. God Bless.

As the description above mentions, this was the B-side to the Country/AC/Hot 100 #1 "The Most Beautiful Girl" & comes from a demo w/ just Charlie Rich & his piano. This was also recorded for his final album "Pictures and Paintings," appropriately the final track. This version, meanwhile, IS available on CD; there's a 2-fer CD featuring the albums "The Silver Fox" & "Every Time You Touch Me I Get High." Of the great many songs he wrote, this was/is the best; if you love this, hear the final one!
