@VadeMecum1984 Really happy your enjoyed this. I enjoyed very much your playing of the toy piano! Great. They are unique sounding with there own voice. BobH
@TanteA Thanks Anette! We appreciate this very much, especially coming from you as you understand playing and singing. Your YouTube page is beautiful. I spent two years in Heidelberg, 1962-1964. A very beautiful place.
@bobeileen1 I have a four string banjo, and I now I bought a autoharp. I really love American folk music instruments. I have never been in Heidelberg, but I know it is a beautiful place. My hometown is Berlin.
Thank you Bob, I think so too, she is a beautifuly young lady with such a beautiful voice. I'm kind of new to You Tube and learning my way thru it, and planning to upload one soon I hope of our jam group that get together to play music, and I try to play the banjo. In the meantime Jeann graciously invited me to put one of hers as a favorite. Gwen
Thanks so much for sharing videos with a friend and that you enjoy our music. It's wonderful to know you are a Chrisian. Life can be very hard at times but we know God is guiding us all the way HOME.
Hello Baasting, Thanks again for your encouraging remarks! Gospel songs are our favorites. My God keep you safe and in His care. Jesus is coming again!
Thanks very much Boog. Your playing is truly beatiful and makes your comment very meaningful to us. Now I know about "belleplates". Have not seen them before. They truly add another dimension to handbell playing. Bob&Eileen
SW, We really appreciate your comments! Being backyard variety musicians, your remarks help us a lot. I enjoyed the gospel song on your page, IN A LAND WERE WE'LL NEVER GROW OLD.
Excellent duet! I love your homemade instruments as well on your other videos. That's one thing I don't think I'll ever be able to do, make my own instruments.
Howdy!! Thanks for your very nice comments. We all have our gifts to constribute in different ways I think. I enjoy making stuff. My Dad started me building model planes when I was 10 yrs old, now I'm 68!
I love this! Thank you for posting this wonderful song. I play the autoharp and piano at my husband's church but I love playing the autoharp more! You sound wonderful!
Thanks AUNTSISSY. We appreciate your comments very much. We play in a jam session at the Old Country Church in Denver each Saturday evening. We love the old gospel music.
That was great!!! Eileen, it's great to hear you singing and playing!!! I have one question, how many chords do you have on your Autoharp? I just noticed you have less than mine, and I don't think I have enough!! LOLL Bob, I love the sound of your Banjo!!! I really enjoyed this!! Thank you!!
Hi Sharrilynn!! Happy you enjoyed our music. Eileen's harp has two strings for each note in many cases. This increases volume and tone quality. Saw this done at a Bluegrass festival years ago. The problem with it is you have fewer chord options. I removed the chord bars not needed. Many harp players that like to double string usually have several harps--one for each key. It certainly is not necessary to double string. It's just one of the many ways to set them up. Harps are cool!!!!
Just lovely! we play autoharp (and guitar) too. thanks for the song. You did it so nicely!
