@lintpocket, very good points indeed. But how do we kno some smart ass back then didn't purposely draw animal heads Just to discredit the Egyptians to make it seem false?
The British museum is well worth a visit, the Cleopatra’s needle has nothing to do with Cleopatra and is actually from the reign of MenKheperRe Djehutymose. The obelisk has two sphinx’s either side with the face of the King . If you are interested and in London you may also want to visit the Petrie Museum, it has 80,000 objects from the Nile Valley.
@prolaser Cleopatra's needle has nothing to do with Cleopatra, indeed. It was moved to Alexandria by her arch enemy Octavian. I also have a vid with some pictires of stuff from the Petrie Museum at UCL.
Why do we not find the remains or fossils or anything at all of these strange animals you can plainly see in these images. Half of 1 thing half something else or whatever combination. Is that figurine at 2:40 really from the egyptian people?Looks like a reptillian man. We don't find those fossils either. How can we make sense of anything they left behind when it is all so abstract?
@Lintpocket2:40 is a hawk headed god, probably Horus, god of the sky and protector of royalty. I think religious symbolism is often deliberately weird and obscure to baffle and awe the people.
You people saying these ancient people here were black need to get a grip. I can see with my eyes that only a few of these people depicted here appear black. A few look white some look asian I mean come on. Can you not see there are different races here all together. What I found most interesting is the animals that seem to be as if they are alive but are a mix of different animals and reptiles. If you are to believe the people are factual beings then the animals are real to. Very odd isn't it?
@Lintpocket If you took time to do some reseach you would know that Egypt had many time periods of foreign rule, for example the paintings in the video are from the Greco-Roman time period. The reason only a few are Black is just down to Rahotep101’s selection. I could easily do a 3 min video with back to back Black Egyptians. I’m not saying everyone was black at all times but that Kmt is Black in the same way Greece or Rome are Euro. The racism that we know was a much later creation.
when i visited john or juan in the island of patmos i did from the beyond, had my shades on for a reason it was to hyde the fire in my eyes, cause if you see my eyes you will recognize me. but for my enemies who wish death and chains they will see the face of death. my teeth will seem like rubies and my eyes will be on fire I told you i gave death his crown i am the father of the gods, for those who feel mty pain they will see the eyes of horus, that tear is the betrayal of my son on the ankh
@JohnB5304 Negrocentrists are inveterate thieves, out to steal the heritage of the Egyptians. You are ashamed of your own ancestry and the relative lack of refinement or cultural achievement south of the Sahara.
Although some believe the high culture of subsequent Egyptian dynasties was borrowed from Mesopotamia and Syria, University of Colorado at Boulder astronomy Professor J. McKim Malville and others believe the complex and symbolic Nabta culture may have stimulated the growth of the society that eventually constructed the first pyramids along the Nile about 4500 years ago.
I love black my fellow black brothers{we will rise} we are everlasting now !! we passed the ultimate test something that no other race of people has done!!!...
Great Video, the exhibition was great. The music used for this clip by Daniela Haverbeck On itunes is a dance track, "La Muerte De La Bestia" Is the music called by another name?
I went to the exhibition yesterday, and there seems to be quite a bit more in the video than I saw. It was crowded, and I did take 2 1/2 hours to go around, I thought I saw all of it!
