I believe it means that his mother is stating that he is hungry, but his shirt says:Glutton Free, meaning not hungry. She made breakfast for him but he refuses to eat it besides being hungry.

And I can't remember what my friend said about it, but I think it had something to do with Coeliac disease, and how children with it have the inability to thrive. Which pretty much mean's they don't grow, and that his mom see's him as perfect, so she think's its stupid...o.o
