  • $739 my ass

  • 700 bill for nothing? who was the repair man? Mario Monti?

  • Thay's my Car!

    Love it.

  • 700$ for what....brain operation ???

  • @divljacina1 Yeah! Since some fucker was crazy enough to buy a hyundai!

  • its not just hyundai....skoda superb....the wing cost around 200-300 euros plus 120 for replacement xD WTF!!!!!

  • The damage cost comes from the impact material, brackets, and sensors for the air bag system under the bumper cover. This impact is cheap compared to alot of cars which would crumple up the bumper, lights, and trunk lids in cheaper car. I have a '07 GLS and took a 8 mph impact. Took 4 days to repair and $860 to fix. The impact rating on these cars are good. Check Consumer Reports. Damn good car, good quality, and safe.

  • Opssss i saw d rope ,,,lol

  • This is an amazing result. Minimum payment fix.

  • where's the damage?

  • Comment removed

  • while this looks like a good thing, no visible damage, its actually a bad thing. These parts of a car are typically designed to crunch, absorbing a large amount of the impact, like in the VW videos. With the hyundai all of this force is being directly transferred to the person inside, leading to things worse than a bumper fix. Collapsible framing is more costly hence why it is not on the cheaper hyundai. I strongly believe that you get what you pay for.

  • @AANate007 Then you're going against all kinds of research which shows that cheaper cars routinely outperform more expensive ones in many areas (most especially reliability).

  • @MaestroTJS im talking about physics not why you would rather own a hyundai than a bmw....

  • @AANate007 no collapsable frame system should be collapsing in a 5 mph crash. The bumper cover is well made. The actual bumper itself is under the cover. You can see it.

  • دودج

  • nothing happen "

  • DID HE DIE?

  • it seems just like old a6

  • even if externally it didn't do any damage internally it probably dented up the foam right behind the bumper that absorbs the impact, and it may have bent the metal guards. then $739 isn't surprising. thought people who watch these kinda videos would have more common sense lol.

  • no damage

  • the car and that fake bumper r having butt sex

  • @MotherMonsterLuver that is so stupid

  • I bet the $739 was the bill when the driver would have to visit a private doctor to see if he is ok.

  • its like wtf what happen lol

  • lmfao "739 of damage" Oh bullshit. In other words, if you do this, they'll suck your fucking wallet dry to do a tiny job that doesn't even need to be done.

  • @sacr3 you are exactly right people just want the money it dont even need to be done. aint like it got a huge dent

  • I wouldn't even waste the time having it fixed. theeres no damage visible, at all.

  • I hope you guys know there is impact foam inside those bumpers to absorb impact, and that impact foam is fucking expensive to replace, but as clearly shown, it does its job well

  • Okay I agree it does not look like it had any damage at all. But their is probably so internal damage that we can't see. Why would the IIHS lie? They are a non-profit.

  • Self-repairing car!!! lol

  • probably new bumper support, bumper, paint, and/or new front seats

  • That's a bumper doing it's god damn job, you would have to be retard to think it needs repairs.

  • nothing happend wtf

  • since when are bumpers a metal rod with a yellow cover on it ?

  • dont listen to this video the same thing happened to our hyundai and the bumper popped right back out lol. foreign cars fix themselfs!

  • BOiNg!

  • looool

  • Maybe he spilled something on the carpet?

  • 739??? okay xD!

  • i would spend 700$ on fixing the test bumper before the car..

  • PzKpfW Sonata.

  • @UnionPacificPL

    I loled :D

  • looks perfectly fine

  • I won't spend 700 $ .... I will waste it on some thing else !!

  • 100% Perfect

  • Wait, what?

  • Nothing it's happen and he coast $ 739 ..... hahahahahah

  • The guy of the crash test works for hyundai

  • WTF was the 739 dollars worth of damage? The foam under the bumper lol.

  • compare this to the bumper crash test of the chysler sebring

  • @999equalizer

I mean... it's a Chrysler, wht can you expect?

  • Comment removed

  • Now THAT is a good bumper!!

  • I think they meant the damage the car did to the post-bumper-thing.

  • the scratch will buff out how against a foam wall go!!! bump there we go good as new

  • Good use of a multi-million dollar institute

  • $739 wtf, a P plater Skyline hit our '96 Corolla at about that speed and you don't see us spending $739 on it, in fact there was no obvious scratches

  • It must be $700 to replace that metal bar, the car is fine! Actually looks better now!

  • excellent, don't cheat to the advantage of junk western cars, Koreans are the best in industry now

  • 740 bucks...fuck that just do the hairdryer plus keyboard cleaner trick cost like 15 bucks

  • $739 my ass

  • lol.. rubber bumper..

  • The bumper exclaimed "REJECTED".

  • Wth ? That'S the proof , insurance are thiefs -_-'

  • ماشالله

  • They`ll pay you to crash this car

  • the damage was not in the plastic bumper. the damage is the steel inside that bumper.

  • This is what I would call a bumper. Not like the other cars that even get their hoods folded.

  • when we wrecked our 2004 toyota camry, there was a some pretty good damage done to it. however if i was to fix the car myself, it would cost me about $800. but if i was to get someone to fix it, it would cost $7,800. i then realized that imports are more expensive to repair. i bought a chevy impala.

  • O.o $739 because Hyundai make them crazy LOL

  • hahahah so true @ areasevenpro

  • what the hell i see no damage !

  • where is the fucking crash ???

  • Don't think anyone would claim this as a damage, but try the same thing with Chrysler for example.

  • It seems like a fairly sturdy craft. I had a Toyota that punched me in the face with an airbag and i still to this day swear I hit nothing. There was nothing there. I was stopped FGS! But seriously I am considering a new Sonata and I am told they are pretty safe. Anyone?

  • @pHvarious Buy a Sonata and I will kill your dog. Get yourself a Toyota Camry.

  • @IceNineX Guess I'm glad I don't have a dog.

  • @pHvarious Lol, then I will kill your mom.

  • I would like 2 know this damage is $739! I see $0 lol

  • @crazytrain8903 Especially when hitting the back there is more damage than you might think of! Behind the bumper are many sensors and other systems that are destroyed even if a crash doesn't damage the bumper.

  • Wooo schools out kids, can we stop the bad language please?

Hyundai, nice large car this one

  • Just because no damage is on the bumper its self, doesn't mean there's no damage at all XD

Our..or WAS our SS got rammed from behind by a mazda at a big speed. But it only made a very small dent, but his front was like..holy crap XD

Also, it caused more damage than the bumper :P My guess is under the headlight and damaged internal Shtuff :D

  • @prestb your a fuckin idiot jus dont talk

  • @parksean Fuck your self bitch ass.

  • @parksean Plus, learn to spell.

  • what happened

  • :D intersting___ my think 0$

  • I don't see even $1 worth of damage, and aren't bumpers meant to be bumped anyway?

  • @MusicTrackMaster Wooo! Bumper cars!

  • that doesnt look like 739 bucks to me... O__O

  • si ma se l'odore di culo diventa insopportabile un motivo ci sara'

  • Boinggggggg :D

  • guuaaaaa genil bmper mejor imposible!!!

  • It was just a kiss

  • With 739$ i can buy two bumpers...why i should play those money for nothing???or is the foam padding behind the bumper?

  • Yup... IF it was me there was no repair :P It have nothing...

  • Excelent bumper!

  • I would just keep driving.

  • $739 of repair cost for a microscopic scratch.

  • What scratch? $739 was probably spent on filming this video.

  • must had done something to the beam behind the bumper

  • no way its $739 there wasn't so much as a scratch on the car

  • 700$ my ass! it didn't even have a paint scratch!

  • it did nothing to the car

  • $739 just to fix the foam padding behind the bumper?!!

  • $739 for an abstract thought

  • $739 dollars??? where???? that was like $1

  • Gotta love Hyundai, a shitty driver's best friend...

  • $700 bucs where??

  • A sonata just took a shit all over the sebring.

GM, wtf are you doing to yourselves. . .

  • GM doesn't make the Sebring.

  • *facepalm* Shit, I forgot.

    Thanks.

  • TheTarrMan no mean to insult but the high density foam in the bumper probably got damaged and thats why it up being 700

once the foam is crushed you loose a very good absorption point

  • how is that over $700 in damage? looks fine.

  • $739 was the cost of filming this video.

  • loOl .. it looks totaly fine .. maybe its 4 the paint job

  • good idea....to bad the pain isn't even chipped

  • @TheTarrMan might have ruined the styrofoam behind the bumper.

  • @TheTarrMan thats what they owe to the insurance

  • @rassnic well it said "damage" so I have no idea really.

  • @TheTarrMan its a joke, because 739 is too expesive so the money is for the insurance policy

  • @rassnic must be

  • @TheTarrMan i'm with you

  • @TheTarrMan It may look fine, but the energy absorbing material under the plastic cover needs to be replaced or else the next one will be much worse. Hence, the $739 price for this. This is one of the better ones though. Look at how bad the Infiniti G35 did. ouch....

  • @scatman0707 these tests depend on the height of the bumper 95%. id the bumper lines up with the barrier less damage will be done

  • This one is good made, the plastic bumper and the steel bar inside are close so there is no room for a dent to build up on a plastic bumper.

  • I have two Hyundai/KIAs and the plastic is really thick and theres a thick foam peice between the thick plastic and bumper beam...thats why they do soo well in these test...

  • The car rolled away like it was gonna just drive it off.

  • We need an evolution of requiring all vehicles shield surround at least 10 inches of solidified bubbles for any angle of impact. If manufacturers can save lives, they save their customers. Otherwise, after-market parts for such vehicle shields should be developed right the way for a new century. People, please use our technology and creativity, don't stuck by money counting minorities; time, lives and safety are more valuable and should get higher priorities.

  • Try explaining that to GM they have never gottten a car that got a best pick, i think, they always get poor or marginal. They dont even care, they dont make changes. All they say is "well it meets the government test" Which is inacurate for real world crashes.

  • Hyundais are getting better and better and sadly quality of most Japanese brands are deteriorating. I'm not surprised why the Genesis was named car of the year.

  • Well, I imagine that the support beams inside of the bumper shown was somewhat bent in a way that would require total replacement and the fact that you have to pay for the labor too may very well result in a total billing of 739 dollars, of course, this depends entirely on the where you go to fix it, because if you go to a dealership, it will cost like a 1,000 dollars cause they are greedy, greasy, pigs, but if you go to a grease monkey shop, they will say, "Aw, Shucks, some spit will do."

  • u dumbass niggas the real bumper is hidden the plastic isnt a bumper so the damage is from the real bumper

  • What a racist!

  • this is rock man.. where is damage?

  • its plastic.. it bent but then went back to its shape

  • well i got rear ended on my 2005 scion tc. Manufactured by Toyota. At a 35 MPH Zone, but the guy behind me had a silverado and was doing 43 MPH. ( i know that because a cop cought the action) His truck was F**** up! and my scion had only scratches, and his license plate numbers were printed on my rear bumper. BUT all my frame rails were damaged which lead to a $3998.00 worth of damage! But the car looked JUST FINE! i was at a red light BTW. he rear ended me that fast and looked like nothing! LOL

  • And where is the 739 $ damage now ?

  • maybe at the other car xD

  • you must crash accurately :D

  • elastic...

  • absorbed the shock

  • wow. i guess only japanese car brands know how to make bumpers.

  • lol its a Korean car. Hyundai does not equal Honda

  • what the fuck, $600! it didn't even leave a dent!

  • Rubber

  • Impressive, Way to go Hyundai!

  • what happened with de Hyundai?NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!The damage cost of the:

    Sonata:783$

    Jetta:1.780$

    What it means?

  • nice car!!!

  • the old hyundai ,the bumper would have shattered!

  • You can say that again. My Mom very gently hit a steel support beam in the garage and it literally shattered the front bumper on a '95 Sonata. Hard, brittle plastic bumpers. These rubbery bumpers hold up so much better.

  • I crashed at 190Km/h and my car is like new

  • it dosent even look like you have to repair anything. i got in a head on collission with one of these. not much damage. my airbags didnt blow though. 30 mph.

  • it bounced back in2 position.. lol

  • woops wrong video. hmmm....

  • the problem is that the thing they use to hit the car is not one flat wall. its a metal bar raised to high. that 4000 bucks is replacing the bumper, hood and headlights.

  • That's the front of the car, brainiac. -_-

  • lol its funny how the car bounced after the crash

  • omg so fast why would any one drive like that whopping 6mph!!!!

  • :O QUE BUENA

  • I'd rub out the scratch and save my 700.00!

  • thats pretty fucking good i got one of those i got mine 145 then ran out of road and slid into a ditch but this old guy had one and he told me he got his 153 anyone went faster in one and i slowed down quite a bit before i hit the ditch

  • nothing happend

  • Wow, the bumper is very strong for modern car standards. See other cars, esp. the Jetta, and you'll realize how well the Sonata fared.

  • the 700$ damage is probably due to the need to replace the bumper - it probably has internal damage from the impact and needs to be restored in order to serve its function in the future

  • ya, it probably had sensors in it

  • Did that little bump really cost you $739? =|

You can't even see any damage!

  • No. The cameraman was paid $739 to shoot this film.

  • lol

  • Now that is exactly what I expect a bumper to do...Bump and come back perfectly unscathed. Now for the 739 in damages, I don't see that reflected anywhere in the "damage".

  • oh wow thats alot of damage, they just want money

  • omg you better get that fixed right away man!

  • lmao

  • 739$? i dont see damage here...

  • Great !!!!

  • They really need to show what they are repairing in these tests.

700 Bucks for a 6mph crash sounds out of the question...And some cars rack up well over 2 grand.

  • too slow

  • THERE"S NO ENERGY ABSORBSION YOU MORONS!!! YOUR NECK IS THE ONE NEEDING REPAIR!!

Fuck the car, thats why you have insurance. That POS bounced right off of that thing. You neck would be fucked if you were hit by anything quicker than 5mph.

    IDIOTS!! KOREAN CARS SUCK!!!
