I hear what you are saying and, to be fair, he did release a few good songs in the mid to late eighties. However, Gary has himself said, that at this point in his career, he was no longer sure of the direction he was going. Let's face it, if Gary's career had begun with The Fury, he would of not of had the same importance in music history. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those fans that wishes Gary would only play the old stuff. As for England winning the cup, the team is more than overdue!
LOL thats like saying its not really England playing since they won the world cup in 1966. He did the music he enjoyed at the time and fair play to him. I think this song was pretty good actually.
The opening riff straight off of the S.O.S Band's Just Be Good To Me. Great song from Gary and Bill. The Numan/Sharpe album is fantastic. Just been released on CD for the first time by Cherry Red.
Tracy adams was garys girlfriend at time of this, shes on backing vocals with a girl gary used for the Outland tour. Met tracy she was a very nice girl, lovely to talk to.
wasn't that his girlfriend there donig backing vocals anyways exellent song wonder where i could get a copy. answers on a postcard please!!! seriously though if you know please e-mail me.
People just seem to dislike Sharpe/Numan music without realizing that it's a collaboration of styles. So, if people don't like this song, it's because they don't care for Sharpe, not Numan, or the other way around. I personally love Numan's music around this time period, and his collaborations with Sharpe are quite awesome. (also, it's been heard that somebody came across some old unreleased sharpe/numan material lately; it's pretty good stuff, and I hope it gets released sometime)
i agree he always says he made music for himself and everything he's done he's done because he's enjoyed it. to be fair its a very gd song his voice suits it aswell lol

At this point in his career, Gary Numan was not really Gary Numan anymore. It is hard to believe that this is the same man who released Replicas.

Thanks for this rather obscure upload. Pretty cool song... though I never quite got why Gary was so fond of female backing vocalists at the time.

Do you have a copy? If you do can you please email it to me or burn a CD and send it to me? Please?

I doubt that; Jagged is getting pretty good reviews all around, and it seems to give Numan some more energy in recording music.

what more to say : i'm bored of all this negative replies !! it's not ,that i adore all numan stuff, but this is a fine pop-tune !!

What's with the car parts decorating the stage? Is that to remind everyone it's Gary Numan?

Hell, doesn't everyone have something they've done that they're embarrassed about later?! At least he has made a full recovery =)
(this period was horrible--I had to put him in a "time out")
