Boycott Cannondale because Bush rides one. Well Bush likes hot dogs and the Yankees, we should boycott those two as well. Screw the NY Yankees they support the war, hot dogs too, so does all the clothing-brand that Bush's wear, they all support the war. Let's boycott all that is been known to Bush. They all supported the war.
I will not buy another Cannondale cause now they are "Handmade in Communist China". Wonder why they don't put that on the seatstays. And yes High end ones are still made here but for how fucking long? In the end they and Trek will only make one flagship bike here for about 10k to came USA connection. Fuck the Commies making 18 cents an hour and fuck Cannondale.
Go ahead you fuckheads ride one I hope George himself runs you over in his limo.
Your agenda is falling aprt and you fuking Bush sucker bought goddamned lies LIES LIES and 3 dead friends of mine killed in Iraq because they believed him.your godamned ass quicker than I have killed any Nigerain in Mogadishu in 93 .I am not afraid of you fucktards!
Most logic can draw a line between two points in an argument. I'm not sure you even looked at the paper to see if the argument was there. Are you going to boycott Danner because they make combat boots?? Or maybe Dell because we use those too? I own a Blue road machine and stick to Santa Cruz for my mountain pursuits. I want to boycott the "Big Three" because I think they are too big and are sucking the innovation out of the industry. Did you hear about the recall of the Lefty fork?
yeah i can ride a cannondale, in about ten minutes i will be out on mine. Porgie Tirebiter you really need to get a life mate, It's people like you so full of hate and up their own arse that are the problem.
qué nulo, pana! qué coño tiene que ver eso? a mí qué coño me importa qué bici monta el huevón de Bush? Monto la bici que me de la gana! cabeza de huevo el que hizo este video!
couldn't the gift of a bike be exactly what Bush needs? did you forget cannondale was the biggest bicycle related sponsor to the "peace ride" race? by my understanding of this video, i shouldn't wear pants, fly in boeings, wear sunglasses, etc. "in good faith", i can do what i want in a free country, thanks for the reminder!
i hate bush as much as anyone else, but, i've been riding cannondales for about 17 years and have had touring, mountain, road and track bikes. never had any trouble with a frame. i like my bike to be stiff, and i'd never be happy with a "noodle" bike. bush can drop dead though.
I just bought a Cannondale Prophet and I'm opposed to the war but i'm sure as hell not gonna ditch it and buy a MTB thats is made of chicken wire stitched together in a vietnamese sweatshop! (carrera, apollo, raleigh)
i like how in the video, u have a pic of him riding a bike...though u couldn't even get him a cannondale...in the pic hes finding his fuel, which was also given to him...by trek. As far as i know, bush still is on a trek...a five thousand dollar bike is not out of the ordinary. If u dont like it...boycott all of the other companies that give favors to people you dont like...i bet every major american company has given something to bush...not buying a bike will sure send bush a message!
This might be the weakest, lamest, most convoluted attempt at a boycott I've ever seen. You probably work for a competitor where the bikes are built overseas.
Cannondale makes some great bikes and it got them publicity. Nowhere are they endorsing or condeming the war. That's like saying because I brought my neighbor (a staunch supporter of Bush) a housewarming gift of food and some CDs, I should boycott Pilsbury (used their flour) and my local indie record store.
Please, for the love of god, use your brain. You give liberals a terrible name. This is all coming from a liberal, by the way.
This video is both poorly made and the logic behind it makes no sense. So what if 'Dale gave Bush a bike? They paid for it themselves-hey had to employ and pay their workers wages since Cannondale is almost entirely based in the US.
What a tasteless video. I support the President and I'll keep buying Cannondales. I am actually glad I saw this video. Everytime I go riding on my Cannondale Rush I can feel proud that I am supporting an American company and also know that the President and I enjoy riding a fine bike.
You just seem jeallous that he got a great bike for nothing. Cannondale is not responsible for Iraq. It sounds like some cheap publicity for that bike on Cannondale's part.
Give me a break. Cannondale is a Made in the USA manufacturer. Go ahead and Boycott and TRek you idiots. Then you can go to Wal-Mart and buy your bikes. This is why liberals will kill this country, boycotting American Companies. Get a life.
Jeff...sort of kind of not really. The law states that they cannot accept said gifts unless they DECLARE THEM...as long as they admit they recieve them, it is no harm no foul. The company CONVENIENTLY gifted this bike to the president just before it's official RELEASE into the retail market...in short, despite their claims, they used the gift to help sales, and do not think any one in opposition to Bush's flawed war policy should support Cannondale.
Bush was pictured on a Trek. Let's boycott Trek too. He was on a Mountain Bike. Let's boycott Mountain Bikes. He lives in a house. Let's boycott houses. Bush eats food. Let's boycott food. After he leaves office, he can't keep the bike anyway... it'll go into the Presidential Library. You're an idiot.
The Cannondale Bike was deliberately custom painted in a way to pay HOMAGE to Bush's position as COmmander and Chief of OUR ARMED FORCES...so, if you support the job he's done, the deaths of our soldiers, then buy a Cannondale...if, on the other hand you believe Bush's Stay The Course Policy has been wrong, then you owe it to our troops to BOYCOTT CANNONDALE...it's that simple.
I'll be honest. I hate the Bush Administration and its motivators. Our country is lost in a sea of propaganda and half-truths. My major point is that your logic is flawed and your opinion is based on malice, not fact and all your doing is spreading hate. I'm not sure you even know what paint job he got. It wasn't even in the video. No insignia, no bombs, just stars, red, and blue.
Logic is not flawed...the news article did not have a picture of this new bike, it did have a full description of the bike and it's CUSTOM PAINT JOB, complete with th PRESIDENTIAL SEAL.
Boycott Boeing too because they built the 747 that is Air Force One. Boycott GM because the Cadillac is the Presidential limo. Whether you like Bush or not, boycotting a company that has gone out of its way to keep jobs in the States is stupid. One of the reasons I bought my C'dale was because it was made in PA. My guess is whoever the next President is, they too will get, or at least be offered, the same style bike.
You are so ON TARGET...that bike belongs to the Vets, not Bush...thus the million clicks goal...every time someone does a Google search for Cannondale, I want them to see this video. Enough of politicians thinking they are in some way special, deserving of Corporate Gifts because of their position....further, sure Cannondale's signature on a letter to the President concerning a trade deal they support had nothing to do with this either.
Cannondale claimed they would not advertise or take advantage of this $5,000 customized bike, then right at Thanksgiving a story BREAKS in the National Press with full details of the president riding said bike...just in time for Black Friday, and the Christmas shopping season...how convenient.

I just bought a Cannondale I also own a Gary Fisher (which Trek own) and I'm Australian. BAM!
I guess I have blood on my hands...... oh noes.
When are people going to wake up? Owning a Trek or Cannondale means that I appreciate great bikes and has nothing to do with my view on war.
